Visited on mothers day did not book but was able to get a table in the bar area for 2 the staff were pleasant and advised us that there may be delays with food. We looked over the menu and ordered at the bar our food came out in gd time considering. I ordered the vegan lasagne and my friend had fish and chips they were both presented well and tasted nice. A guy called danny cleared our plates and asked if we enjoyed our meals he was cheerful. I definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again sometime in the near future. Called to book a table having seen the restaurant advertised on Meerkats rewards. Chef was on her own so the restaurant was closing early but they were happy to slot us in. Chose meals from the 2 for £10.50 menu as we like smaller portions. Wow what a surprise . Meals were a good size, very fresh, nicely cooked and hot. Very happy with the meal. Too full for puds but tried the Eton mess which again was delicious. Fantastic meal. Will be coming again.
1st time visiting and food was lovely really nice pub and friendly staff we will be going back
Booked for a Birthday party. Great food and service. A staff member brought out the cake and sang happy birthday with us. We had kids and there was mess and the staff were great. The food was reasonably priced and there was a great selection of dishes and was I was impressed with the food. Spot on. Thank you Rose and CrownFood: 5/5
Food was very good. My wife and kids have eaten here before but it was my first time. Might have just been the time of the day but there seemed like there was only 1 or 2 members of staff on duty. Because the mobile Internet wasn't great where we were sitting the ordering via the QR code on the table was very slow. Ended up ordering via staff member when he finally turned up at the bar.
One of the worse dinning experiences I've ever had. We order scampi and chips which when received was a child size portion. We also ordered x 2 carribean screwers and rice meals to be told there us no veg so can put the chicken on a bed of onions. Ordered via the app and was told no order received so I had to order the food again at the till. I ordered mac & cheese and it was powdery. The staff were very lovely!! But the food quality is low & we left having to get a take away from somewhere else.
Food was delicious. Ordered sausage and mash with a side of mac 'n' cheese. Lovely flavour and service was fast from start to finish. Manager and staff were lovely and very attentative. Would highly reccomend and will be returning. Kid-friendliness: Ordered my daughter a kids meal and the manager asked if we needed a smaller fork and a spoon for her to eat with rather than the adult ones.
It's a really nice place. Atmosphere was lovely. Disable toilets clean. Service was great. Food however, my food was burnt. But I'm willing to give a second change as everything else was great & the food on the menu looked good.Food: 3/5
Having been a regular diner here for a long while now ive always experienced a nice atmoshere, good food and professional and friendly bar staff. Tonight however although the food was good the surroundings were not. Whilst eating our meals my partner and i were subjected to several people who were clearly not working there, dressed in outsde clothing barging in and out of the kitchen directly behind us shouting loudly going behind the bar with no regard for customers. In fact i would go as far as to say the behaviour was loud and intimidating. Its a pity and a blatent disregard for the usual staff who are always polite and professional. I really do hope i dont have this experience here again.
Came for mothers day and the service was brilliant. Danny was friendly and polite. Lovely food. Will definitely be back.
