Went with friends for a meal at this lovely pub. We were surprised at how quiet it was for a Saturday night, but apparently, it gets very busy on Friday evenings & and Sundays. The meals are great & very plentiful. In fact, my husband & I decided to share a starter the next time we visit. Which we will. The staff were attentive without being too obvious & and there when we needed drink refills. We all agreed the food was great. Between us, we had main courses of steamed meat pudding, steak, gammon, curry & vegetable curry. So, a good selection. A great experience & one we will use again
We recently held a wake at The Robin Hood Inn. The food was excellent with a fantastic selection of dishes and so much of it! Tea and coffee were also provided at a table to help yourself. The staff were empathetic and attentive. The choice of music played was spot on and helped to create exactly the relaxed atmosphere we’d hoped for. They wanted everything to be perfect for us. We were so pleased to have chosen this venue. It was also conventionally close to The Oaks crematorium at Havant. As an observation, the food being served to other diners looked amazing! We shall be returning to sample it!
My friend and I had a lovely roast dinner here on Sunday. Dog friendly in the bar area and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I would give 10 stars for the sticky toffee pudding with custard!!! Words cannot express how good it was. I'll be back even if it's just for that Thank you.
Not been here before and we were looking for somewhere for lunch. Managed to get a table, and then we’re just left, staff chatting, my wife had to get up and go and get menus, and it wasn’t busy the napkin was stuck to the table as the table was dirty from the previously customer/s. Finally we were able to order drinks and food. Food was very good, when it turned up the poor girl had no idea which plate was who’s and she appeared terrified when we asked, which was which…. Bless her. Certainly the food was the high point to be fair. Would go back for the food. Roasts here clearly very good. Easy to access, parking and plenty of seating inside and some outside. This could have so easily have been 5 stars, it’s just being let down by what I believe is attention to detail, and on our visit the dirty table. An easy fix, but shouldn’t happen We didn’t stay so can’t comment on the rooms. Food & drinks: Very good roast dinners
Great venue, ambience, service, and fabulous traditional Sunday lunch. The staff were amazing. There was lots to eat, to satisfy even the largest of appetites. I booked a table of 10, lunch was great. My party were really impressedRooms: 5/5
We had our work lunch here today pre booked. The lady serving us struggled to get the order correct and had to read it out several times a party of 8. It took an hour for the food to arrive 7 sandwiches and chips plus a jacket potato. The jacket should have had just beans on but came out with a mound of cheese only. We returned it only for the lady to come out of the kitchen to rudely advise us they had no beans. No apology or alternative suggestions. My poor colleague who is vegetarian therefore had no meal until we eventually got the kitchen to being more chips out free of charge but begrudgingly so. Five chip orders were lumped into two larger dishes but those of us ordering chips weren’t sat next to each other. We weren’t asked if we needed any sauces or anything else and were then treated like we were difficult and the waitress was obviously angry with us. It was a very uncomfortable experience and her attitude was totally unwarranted. Needless to say we won’t be back and would not recommend.
What a wonderful welcome from everyone at the robin hood. Great rooms and perfect hospitality Rooms: 5/5
Service was very hit and miss. Roast dinners were mediocre. Obviously been cooked a while ago. Roast potatoes like bullets. Lots of chunky meat. Pork nicer than the beef. We passed on the desserts as they were totally uninspiring. Tables sticky , chairs covered in crumbs. Not nice so we won’t be back. To say the least, we really didn’t enjoy our Sunday lunch.
What a rude attitude the woman who , I assume, was in charge had. The young waitress was doing her best but the management seemed to be treating staff and customers alike with a terrible attitude, intimidating and as though we were a bother. The food was not particularly good, service was slow and the order in which our food etc came out of the kitchen was a mess...food came out without some cutlery, if you wanted sauces, water or anything extra you literally had to go up and ask each time. We were twelve customers who seemed to be treated as if they were doing us a favour. Never again! Avoid if you want good food and friendly staff.
Beds could be a little better, but the staff and food more than made up for it. Great little pub and restaurant. Staff was the friendliest we had during our entire visit to England. Walkability: Great little village easily walkable.
