We stayed here for a 2 day mini break and had a wonderful time from the moment we arrived. All staff were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The hotel was exceptionally clean, including the restaurant and our room. The evening meal and breakfast was outstanding, lots of choice and well presented. Compliments to all the chefs on duty. Our room was comfortable, clean, the bed was huge and comfy and also plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. Will definitely be returning.
A comfortable hotel within easy access of nearby towns and a short bus ride from Portsmouth. Rooms were comfortable and for the most part quiet, breakfast had a good selection and hot food cooked to order.
Good location for exploring this section of coast, Portsmouth and Chichester. Hotel and staff are welcoming and rooms are comfortable. No children seen on our visit so relatively quiet even when there were parties in some of the function rooms. Minor issues at check-in and check-out regarding supplement for weekend bookings but soon resolved. Overall a very pleasant and relaxing weekend. Walkability: About a mile to Emsworth town centre. Nice shops, cafes, and selection of pubs and restaurants. Food & drinks: Good food options and nothing too much trouble. Bar well stocked mostly. Noteworthy details: Quiet, very clean, good service and friendly staff. Parking charge per night but no obvious reason for it given the location.
Parking not free , breakfast was overpriced and terrible, took 3 times to get what we ordered. Slow service. Room was very hot and uncomfortable with window open, stand up air con terrible. Bar was nice, gardens nice. Noteworthy details: Carpark £5 a night Rooms £120 No cask points in the area only a garage.
Not sure about some other reviews for this hotel, those customers must have mixed it up with another place. I am glad that we ignored them. The welcome was warm and friendly. The reception and communal rooms are nice. Bedroom comfortable and quiet. Everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with ample choice and served to the table. The staff here are lovely and I would look forward to a return visit.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay , 19th-21st June 2023, whereby we hired 1 room for husband and myself and hired another room for our daughter..we found the hot water in the bathroom sink was only luke warm but just left it. We ate dinner in the hotel on Friday evening, the food was lovely but a father and can only assume lady whom we thought was his daughter continuously spent an hour arguing, we did comment about this to staff but the answer we got was "they're regulars", as if that made it ok ! There was a black tie do on the Saturday night which was fine but to be woken around 7am by very loud patrons and then very loud music coming from the Slipper Room Sunday morning next to our room 19, which sounded like piano music around 8am... Having to pay £5 each night to park after paying £300 for the room we didn't think was right ! I can understand non-residents paying... We had a day out on the Saturday and was lucky to find a space left for us to park when we got back to the hotel..the staff were very helpful and friendly..we would stay again.. I do feel breakfast prices were a bit steep Nearby activities: Beach, restaurants, shops
What a shambles. We applied for disabled room which cost us £405.!!! There was no room in the bathroom for a wheelchair to move around. We had to use the disabled toilet at the end of the corridor. Itwas awful as the toilet was so low down it took my partner and me to fall down on it every time. We complained but it was brushed under the carpet. This is what happens now we learn that in September it has been sold to Raymond Blanc. So be it we have been going there since 2015. It was my first time out since I suffered a stroke and I was in hospital for 5 months. Took me 14 months to agree to go to the Brookfield Hotel . What a shame it was awful.
A good location and quite rooms warm rooms is the best I can give this hotel. Where do I start.... Upon booking the hotel I booked a two night stay with breakfast and a dinner. Upon arrival I was told it's just two nights, even though I had three confirmed emails for this and they wanted to add extra charges on top! So if you do book expect your bookings to change without warning. Felt a bit honey potted To support this, as I was going downstairs another customer had the exact same issue where he's booking changed. The room itself had everything you could need, but very tired looking and not welcoming. I would have to add the cleanliness wasn't fantastic, but I've seen worse. Breakfast was okay, but not worth the money they ask for. We kinda regretted eating at the hotel and I would advise using the local cafes down the road instead. Parking....... I would understand if it was in a busy city centre and had subsidised parking charges. BUT £5 a night a residential area?!? Just seems another way to squeeze there customers.
Had the most amazing afternoon Tea at The Brookfield Hotel!Sandwiches, cakes and scones was delicious, so fresh! Tea and coffee and a couple of group upgraded for prosecco Waiter was great, kept making sure we had all we needed, room on our own so we could laugh as much as we wanted without disturbing other guests ! Would definitely recommend. .
We had a two night stay. The staff were very nice and helpful. The evening meal we had wasn't exceptional, and not much choice as for me there was only one main course I liked, which was pork served with chips, a mushroom and tomatoes, I didn't see a gravy option and the meat was very dry and a bit chewy. By biggest problem with this hotel is parking you have to pay an extra £5 per night. A bit harsh considering I've never come across a hotel that charges for parking, even the Hilton in Cobham doesn't. When I questioned the receptionist she said all the hotels she had worked in charge extra and if I didn't want to pay I could park elsewhere.!! Well this is day one.
