We booked for 12.30 and were the first people there. The staff were polite and attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was clean and well presented. The waitress was informative and able to answer questions about allergies and tell us the ingredients of some of the things we enjoyed the most. It was expensive but as a treat, we enjoyed it very much! Vegetarian options: The waitress was able to offer an alternative to salmon if we wanted it. Dietary restrictions: The waitress asked if we had any gluten, dairy or fish allergies so she could inform the kitchen.
My husband and I had our 25th wedding anniversary here when in town from America on business. We picked this because of the beautiful view. The food was impeccable. We had steaks and potatoes and appetizers. The staff all signed a card for us before we arrived and also treated us to a special dessert for our anniversary. It was romantic with a wonderful city view and cozy romantic atmosphere. Sophia was personable and wonderful! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel at home on our anniversary!
The hubby and I enjoyed a nice anniversary dinner here tonight. The atmosphere was lovely with the live piano music and evening light cascading through the large windows. The food and drinks were very flavorful. The Golden daiquiri was delicious, as was my steak! I look forward to visiting again in the future.
Picked this place last minute because we fancied a good steak and was not disappointed! Beautiful view over the river, great food and service and not over priced. Thre was a small bar above the restaurant that gave an almost 'private' feel that looked great but unfortunately we didn't have time to stay, still it's a nice establishment throughout shirt and shoes I would encourage, but no dress code as such and I would definitely go back next time I'm in Bristol.
Quite out of my comfort zone in a place like this, however dressed for the occasion. We were met and seated promptly. The service was outstanding!! I loved it, the afternoon tea was somewhat lacking and overwhelming at the same time, there were way too many desserts, 2 scones each, a Victoria Sponge, a lemon meringue each, a treacle sponge each, a chocolate fudge brownie each and 1 other that I cannot remember. There was only 2 small finger sandwiches of Ham and Dijon mustard, cucumber and soft cheese and a salmon topped bread. The desserts were rather sickly and overly sweet. The drinks were incredible. I would highly recommend anyone trying this place as an afternoon or evening away. As much as it wasn't for me I know plenty of people would have loved it.
Amazing lunch celebrating university graduation Arrived to find they'd accidentally accepted our booking despite being closed for lunch, despite this the manager handled it excellently! He sat us next-door and instructed the kitchen to start cooking for us despite the restaurant being closed! The scallops and steak were fabulous!
First visit here and was blown away! Amazing food, friendly staff and very lovely ambience! Best time to visit is in the evening just before the sun sets. Was really pleased with the waiter’s recommendation on the mains: rib eye steak in medium rare and the seafood skillet. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for an ambient experience with good food!
My husband and I had dinner at the River Grille to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the outset we were made to feel so welcome and were given a lovely table looking out onto the river. There were thoughtful, unexpected touches like a happy anniversary card on our table. The service was excellent: friendly and highly attentive but not intrusive. The good was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. All in all, a most enjoyable evening.
Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. Pianist played good selection of music, with an excellent view of the harbour.
Amazing food with a view. Lovely staff. Would highly recommend the steak and the restaurant overall. Fab!!
