Had a fantastic weekend here..staff are amazing, the room was perfect. We took both our dogs and found a doggy blanket and treats on arrival..the breakfast was brilliant too...the town itself is so dog friendly ,welcomed everywhere..great walks for the pups too. All in all a superb experience and we can't wait to go back.!!!

Stayed last night, fabulous greeting from the young staff on duty, courteous, polite and a credit to the business, room was lovely, was spotless and had everything we needed. Food was first class! Including breakfast and the choices were great. Breakfast service was lovely, friendly personable etc x made to feel most welcome. The only negative we had was when returning to the pub early evening, when we got back we noticed some tables were reserved so we chose a free table and took menus with us so we could order at leisure. Got drinks and within 10 mins were barked at by a lady with short blonde hair that we had to order our food before the “ big reserved table came in”, I politely pointed out that food was advertised as being served until 9 pm and considering we were staying at the premises we would order our food when we wanted it! All was fine following that, food was excellent x we would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family.

Love this place just my kind of pub great atmosphere .Food fantastic and the portions are more than ample.The staff are very helpful and friendly and i was allowed to take my little yorkie in.All in all a great place will deffo be returning.

Really cosy place to have a meal. The pub has an open fire and a really warm cosy feel to it. The staff are ever so friendly. We had a meal which was very tasty and was about average in price. Children are welcome and so are dogs. We took our dog in and within five minutes he had a drink of water and a biscuit given to him. He had a drink, are his biscuit and fell asleep on a cushion in front of the fire. It was a very pleasant day for all.

Four of us on holiday had Sunday lunch. Roast lamb, roast pork, beef cheek Wellington and Cumberland. We all enjoyed all of the meals. We eat at around 2:30 and were a little surprised at wait for meal. Some plates were warm as opposed to hot. Overall a very good experience.and very tasty food.
