We were here a few years back when it was in need of a revamp, we were glad to see this has been done and to a good taste too. Has a good selection of beers including those locally brewed and although we didn't eat there other diners seemed happy with their meals. We also liked the fact dogs are made welcome.

Old England type of place to stay. Staff and locals very friendly and helpfull. Food was fantastic cooked to perfection. My daughter booked The Snooty Fox for my wife and I as a present for us. We highly recommend this place if I could give it ten stars I would. Thanks to the staff and locals for your hospitality.

What a WONDERFUL find! All the values you'd think have gone are still here.... hospitality in abundance, nothing too much trouble, unexpectedly lovely rooms that so mirror this beautiful old tavern in beautiful style and quality, beautiful food and total integrity! We've had a lovely time in this beautiful place and historic market town! A gem of a find which was found randomly, leaving with a lasting memory!

A quaint historic public house in a very nice market town. A very good selection of beers, ciders and lagers. Plenty of seating and tables available. The toilets were very clean which is always a good sign! The staff are all friendly.

Faultless service from booking our table to paying the bill. Food was exceptional, the Lamb Belly starter is greatly recommended. THE place to visit when in Kirkby Lonsdale.
