Overall a great store with plenty of convenience and stock. Was assisted today by a very busy young woman in the garden centre section. Today would've been much easier to look around if hosepipes hadn't been everywhere and crates of new stocks hadn't been placed blocking other stock..All that said, helpful young woman in the centre was doing her best with all customers. Thank you.. will visit again . Would still recommend.

This is one of my favourite shops in York its sell just about everything with a vast range of products at affordable prices. The staff are helpful and will always give you a helping hand if needed. There are a few areas they could improve on however, I am sure over time they will do that.

I returned a roll of wallpaper and was given a refund card to offset against future purposes. My partner and I then attempted to pay for a number of items using the refund card as part payment. We were then informed at the till that the card would not be "activated " for up to 2 hours We went to the Customer Service desk who were incredibly unhelpful. It appears that the young girl who issued the credit was "on training " so did not explain (although) she was on her own at the time of serving us. The Deputy Manager refused to take reponsibility and commented that she was "not paid enough for this". I have never commented upon a visit on social media before but was totally lost by the lack of Customer Service or anybody wishing to take responsibility that I felt compelled to say something.

I haven't been to The Range for some time and I was impressed with the product range and prices. Layout of the store also seems better. I will definitely visit again soon.

Great place for EVERYTHING. It is like an abyss of anything and nearly everything. Good service and the staff are happy to help. There is a cafe which is reasonably priced and the food is of good quality.
