A very large place with a huge range of gorgeous, high quality furniture, carpets and rugs. I don't like the way the ground floor display is laid out though - it feels a bit disorganised, which makes it hard to find what you want. However, it's difficult to imagine how it could be improved as it's such a huge open space. It's very, very expensive but you can get a bargain in the sale. The staff vary in helpfulness - some are exceptionally good, others just okay. The cafe is very good with gorgeous coffee and cakes.

A great asset for York to have this shop. It offers an excellent range of products for all rooms and for all tastes and price brackets. I've purchased a sofa and bedroom furniture, my parents have purchased a 3 piece suite, carpets and furniture over the last 5 years. The service on all occasions has been outstanding, it's we'll balanced between being helpful when needed but you're left alone to look around without having sales people following you like a shadow trying to close a sale like other sofa retailers. A very pleasant environment to shop in and all good quality products.

Went to the cafe and it was lovely but what I would call "pricey" Scrambled eggs was over five pounds which I thought was rather a lot. Lovely staff, and I would recommend if you have a bit of spare cash or for a bit of a treat.
