Well worth the trip to York for the personal service alone! What can't be done in store is easily arranged for elsewhere or delivery. Competitive price even compared to the Internet.

Made the journey to John Lewis all the way from Louth in Lincolnshire. Not very happy that I went 15 mins over the allocated 4 hour parking time and ended up with a ticket. Huge M&S and Next ( next door ) not easy to visit 3 Stores and get something to eat in 4 hours!!! Parking system needs to be reviewed. John Lewis is an excellent store but will not visit again when shopping time is restricted because of the parking. Especially when you have to make such a long journey to get there😐

Worst service ever received in a John Lewis store. Wanted to see a Panasonic OLED tv being used as a tv as opposed to demo mode. Stroppy young sales assistant informed me they had no tv ariels; didn’t like it when I pointed out that the tv next to us was showing live TV. After he’d bitten my head if I informed him that I’d take by business elsewhere, which I did. Same product, £200 less and with a 6 year guarantee. Pull your socks up John Lewis. I’m never going to the york store again. I’ll go to Leeds or cheadle where staff know what they are doing and what customer service actually is!
