Our History:
The Quay was the name of the existing pub taken over by Wetherspoon, which had occupied this former warehouse since 1996.
In Tudor times, the Quayside was called the Great Quay, even though it was less than 200 feet long! The Little Quay was added and further extended in the late 18th century. This was the New Quay, where this pub and warehouses and wharves were built.

The quay provides great quality food at amazing prices. It's spacious dining area allows for large crowds to enjoy well priced alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages. One minor downside to this bar/restaurant is that it can be dirty in terms of table tops but this shouldn't cause anyone to be deterred as it doesn't occur regularly.

Lovely little pub right on the quay! Love to sit outside and enjoy the amazing location. Not a huge selection of drinks but it's a small bar. They allow dogs too which is nice.

Good food for the price. Nice location. Use the app to order and pay, it's quicker and more convenient.

Cheap and cheerful. Good selection of beers and ales, food is reasonable, meal and a drink deals from about £8, can't go wrong. A fancy restaurant it is not. Good value it is.

Good cheap drinks I.e lager, cider draught etc. Food is VERY hit and miss. When it's busy my food order has always been wrong for example my last visit I had a Jack Daniels burger that not only had the tomato, lettuce and onions missing from the burger it also had the JD sauce missing too?? My son's (4yrs old) plate was very very hot , not good for a child too have a plate so hot. And burger was as dry as a desert and not enjoyable at all. We have eat there for the last time now and for the food we give it a 1*.
