Visiting the area this chippy was recommended to us. I had fish and chips which I really enjoyed, the fish was just right. With me being of advanced years I sometimes find the batter hard to take and end up leaving a lot but no such problems here. A good recommendation.
After an awful dinner the day before we were craving a proper fish and chips and chanced upon this place. To feed six of us it cost less than our local chippy to feed all of us, took less than fifteen minutes to prepare our big order and less than ten minutes to devour it all when it got home because it was so good! Not a single complaint from the family!
Great chipie! Good value for decent portions that are good quality. Much better than some ‘award winning’ shops. Best get your fish and chips here, then head to the beach.
There were 50 people queueing in Alderburgh at the famous one so we stopped here on the way home and weren't disappointed. Very good quality fish cooked freshly to order so you have to wait a few minutes, wafer thin crispy golden batter and decent chips - huge portions. Don't bother with the seaside - come here instead!
What a fish and chip shop! Been going for years and they never disappoint. Quick service and easy orders by phone and really tasty food. All round excellent!
