We popped in on a Friday lunchtime and it was packed but we still got a nice table. Fantastic boozer typical spoons very competitive prices and a really nice menu personally I love the curry’s. The variety of beers is outstanding. Lovely clean table and very friendly staff oh and how reasonable is the food overall I love it. My only negative is spoons stopped serving Fosters. Keep up the good work.
What's better than a usual Wetherspoons? A Wetherspoons with FREE car parking right outside. The large private car park serves the pub and some well known shops, and is free for up to 2 hours, BUT, using the QR code just inside the pub doorway, you can extend it to become 5 hours free!nThe pub itself is quite a modern building, but nonetheless interesting in its own right. Portishead itself is quite a vibrant town, with a good selection of shops. A modern marina is just a few hundred yards opposite the pub and is ideal if you had a meal, then wish to walk of some of those calories.nI visit this Wetherspoons on a regular monthly basis between 2pm - 5pm, and have found it to offer: good efficient service; good food and drinks; polite staff; a calm relaxing atmosphere.
Love this place. My grandson has the kids breakfast here with me as a treat every week. The staff are so good with him. You can mix and match from the menu to make up almost anything you want for a meal. For those counting calories it's perfect. Everything is counted for you.
Friendly staff. Food was as expected. A little annoyed that one guest asked for onions rings which was incorrectly expected as part of the meal and had to leave her meal go cold and go to the bar to order them. It would have been nice to have supplied them whilst she ate. But that's company policy I suppose, not staff fault. Nice premises. Ample parking 2 hour restricted but more can be added for free. All in all a good and quite pretty and spacious pub. Also a small outdoor area for the one day of Summer.
