Popped in for a spot of lunch, with my Mum, as our usual haunt was closed. We have visited other ‘Lounge’ locations, but haven’t visited the Impero for a while, beyond having a drink.nnFoodnnMum’s Choice: Gluten Free BreakfastnnA good sized portion, of freshly cooked, tasty food. Breakfasts can be very hit or miss in some places, but Mum genuinely enjoyed hers.nnWhen the food came out, she was concerned as the egg had pepper on it, which she has a health issue with, however despite not mentioning it during ordering, the server was more than willing to order Mum a new fried egg, and then a new piece of toast too.nnThe staff were so helpful, and we couldn’t thank them enough.nnMy Choice: GF Nasi GorengnnFancying a rice based dish, I ended up plumping for this “Malaysian-style” fried rice dish with prawns and chicken, with chilli.nnI was concerned about the chilli, as I’m not a big fan of very spicy food; however it wasn’t too bad the only real spiciness was the chilli and the sauce, beyond that it was mild.nnI loved the mix of flavours in this dish, and was surprised by the decent number of prawns I found in it. The portion size was good, even for a big foodie like me.nnI wouldn’t hesitate to try this dish again in fact I’m already plotting for when I might be able to next visit…, and would recommend it to people to try.nnServicennSo helpful. Asked about allergens at ordering, and was able to replace the egg and toast for my Mum.nnAlso found a spot to store my Mum’s walking crutch, so it wouldn’t get in the way, yet would still be close enough to walk to.nnFriendly and helpful, they are to be commended.nnAtmospherennIt was a busy lunch time, and we were fortunate enough to get one of the last free tables. It was rather noisy, with lots of people chatting and laughing.nnMum found it a bit much, but we were still able to talk, albeit with raised voices. Occasionally, a dog would bark, which unsettled my Mum as she had a phobia of dogs, but this only happened a couple of times, when a different dog walked in.nnFor some people, this wouldn’t be a problem, so would rate this as a five, but for us, it was a bit much for the senses/comfort of talking.nnOverallnnI enjoyed my lunch, and I believe my Mum did too; helped by the polite, helpful staff, and delicious fresh food. Am looking forward to my next visit, whenever that is; hopefully I will enjoy it as much next time!
First the bad, the online app to order from the table did not work, despite several attempts. The waitering staff saved the situation, friendly, efficient and effective. The food was adequate but very well priced
Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is very reasonably priced and of a great quality. The atmosphere was relaxing and they are dog friendly
Had a fantastic meal here with my wife and daughter. Really good range of meals on the menu, that made it a real struggle to choose which one... I wanted all of them... nI ordered Bang Bang Chicken which was delicious. My wife had a tapas selection and my daughter the Mac and cheese. All of them got completely cleaned up.nThe service was great and fast, it was very well organised and they were totally on top of it all. Order at the bar and delivered to your table pretty quickly. Decor was very pleasant as well. Everything very clean, even the toilets were immaculate. It would definitely be a place to go back to if we're in the area. Well done to the team.
Went here for a quiet chat and it was the perfect spot. Friendly accommodating staff, good vibes and good food for a somewhat expensive, but to be expected in this economy price. I would imagine this would be a great place to come with friends for drinks or to bring the kids for a birthday milkshake. It really seem like a very versatile venue, that would suit people from all walks of life. Highly recommend and will be returning soon!
