Cocktails: 10/10 Decor: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 Price: ££ normal for Edinburgh, but worth it! Absolutely fantastic little bar! Very Centre of Edinburgh, just round the corner from the station, so easy to get to. First of all, the staff are absolutely fantastic. So lovely and friendly. They’re very enthusiastic about their job and always smiling, which is nice to see! The interior decorations and cocktails are Stranger Things themed this time round and they’ve really done a fantastic job on the decorations and the actual cocktails themselves. I was made to feel very welcome and looked after, even though it was pretty busy! Would definitely recommend to anyone!
This place was a fantastic surprise. We fell in love with it. It's so authentic and you'll see they take care of every detail. The decoration is implecable, the cocktails very well selected, and the riddles were so much fun! English is not our first language but we were capable of guessing all of them. We had a lovely night and the bartenders were amazing. We will definitely come back in we visit Scotland and we are already recommending this place to all our friends. I have not enough words to express how magical is this place and the love they put in every detail. Thank you
Well that was fun. It’s not big and it’s not glamorous. But it is great. The cocktails were really nice. The staff were all friendly, super knowledgeable and able to talk you through the tailored menu of drinks. The theme was well thought out. Definitely worth a visit.
Had such a fantastic time at The Cocktail Geeks! The place was clearly very popular as we had to wait for an indoor table so reserving a table is recommended. They have a wide selection of drinks for a very reasonable price and they were all really interesting and well linked to superheroes. The friendly neighbourhood cocktail was really nice if you like sweet drinks. You can also purchase the comic for £5 and other related products. If I lived in Edinburgh, I would be coming here for drinks all the time!
Tip - always book in advance because they are very popular, booking is easy on their website. One of my favourite cocktail bars in Edinburgh and always a unique and fun experience. They change the theme every few months and always go all out! They are so creative with their cocktails, I end up trying flavour combinations I’d never have thought of. The staff are also super lovely, they make it a great place to re-visit. Pictures are from their recent Heroes & Villains themed menu. The menu itself was a comic book with their own story - so clever and fun! They also play music related to the theme and I was having a great time guessing the movie soundtracks.
Loved this place so much! Very cute and cozy place it's quite small inside but we really liked that as made a nice difference from other bars and restaurants in the area which are big and noisy. Staff were nice and friendly and helpful. Cocktails were amazing it's definitely a must go to if you love Cocktails and Nerdy things
Absolutely loved this place. Probably one of my favourite bars for my time in Scotland. Small place need reservation I would say that keeps changing their themes. This time round it was Lord of the Rings. Very nicely done. They have some puzzles you can do too for entertainment purposes. Had Pete as our waiter and Glen was also there to help us with our drinks. Pete is such a friendly and fun waiter. Gave us plenty of suggestions. I even asked if they could make a drink that I like and with what they had available, they tried to make it work which was cool of them. Considering lord of the rings, I am obsessed with the song 'I see Fire' by Ed Sheeran and Pete was happy to include that as one of the tracks whilst we were there which was again pretty cool of them. Would definitely go back
Me and my brother had a great time visiting The Cocktail Geeks the theme was the hobbit/lord of the rings and inside looked amazing with great decorations. The drinks menu matched the theme and had a large selection to choose from with some you have to get a riddle right before you can order them and the drinks were amazing!!! I highly recommend visiting but make sure to book a table in advance as it is very popular and unlikely to get a table as a walk in.
Absolutely awesome! Had a lovely time there with my partner. We had a few drinks and got to chat to one of the owners, who was engaging and told us about some of our favourite drinks from the evening. It was refreshing to talk to someone who is clearly so passionate about what they do. We were also chatting to one of the bartenders about the drinks that she invented. They were absolutely lovely, and I was very happy to reminisce about old tv shows. They were also happy to make changes to one of my cocktail orders for me, which was very much appreciated. It was great that the bar also has vegan alternatives for the drinks so we don’t have to miss out! The only downside is that we’re from Cardiff so we can’t visit as often! Also thought I took more photos of this place but the interior is amazing!!
This place is awesome! The themes are pretty cool - I've been for Jurassic Park and Lord of the Rings. I really enjoyed the cocktails, the music, and design, all adding up to a great atmosphere.
