It's quite nice, staff are lovely. Limited menu, which is fine if it gives the staff time to concentrate on what comes from the kitchen. Which poses the question why was my soup barely warm and the brown bread accompaniment frozen? Main course was adequate but here's a funny thing. My wife's dessert was a lemon tart with strawberry sorbet and almost literally "thrown" on the plate were a handful of split almonds! Don't get it, sorry. However, my cheeses were delicious so too the cappuccino. At £30 a head including a tip was not too expensive, just a shame about the finer points.

Busy pub with several cask ales, bar and restaurant areas. Range of excellent and well presented food including a lighter lunchtime menu. Good wine list with several by the glass. Friendly and helpful service.

Marvellous lunch. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The menu was once again interesting and creative using excellent quality ingredients. The chocolate delice was wonderful. We look forward to our next visit.

Good local beer. Good food. The confit de canard was very fine. Great location. TV sport muted. Open fire. Good summer outdoor drink location
