Brilliant little country pub with exquisite locally sourced, fresh food. The seafood is impeccable, as fresh as you'd hope seafood I'm Cornwall would be, and beautifully prepared. I'd strongly advise you to book a table, we arrived a little earlier than planned and were through the door as soon as it opened at 6pm, without a booking, and were extremely lucky as they only had 2 free tables that evening! Great customer service, the staff were brilliant. Dog-friendly too.

Sunday Dinner - wonderful. Big, thick tender slices of beef, lovely big pots and an amazing bread and butter pudding. Wish I lived a bit closer as I'd be there every week! Perfect service.

Ok pub trying to be a gastro. Meals are expensive and small portions. Limited menu when I last visited. Lovely setting inside and good service.

We have lived nearby for 12 years and visited the Plough last night for the first time. We had the most fabulous meal, in fact probably the best we have had in the area for some considerable time. There were two female staff who couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, even discussing the vast array of gins available! It certainly won’t be another twelve years before we visit again.

Below par food and unimaginative menu. Waiting staff are friendly though, hence the extra star. There is a sign that reads: "We do not have wifi. Let's pretend it's 1995 and talk to each other" - well why not pretend it's 1895 and turn all the lights and heating off? - it would be an equally irrelevant approach to life in 2018. What a very patronizing and unfriendly (not to mention judgemental) thing to say to paying customers! The owners definitely could not run their business without the internet and I do not believe for a second it is not available in the village; they simply do not want to pay for guest wifi, which as someone that needs it for work I would expect in 2018 anywhere in the UK. It is somewhat irritating to read such patronizing signs and maybe the owners of this place should think about this. With the poor food and terrible attitude to customer satisfaction or comfort it is doubtful we will ever return, unless there is a change in ownership or management or indeed attitude, of course.
