We did not have table booked, but they manage to get us in after a short wait while we had a drink. Very friendly staff, and the food was splendid. Chocolate brownie and ice for afters will be going again! Definitely
Had a roast dinner there today. I chose lamb Shank which was beautifully tender and just falling off the bone when cuts well as being very hot when served to us. I hate like warm food. Highly recommend.Service: 5/5
Nice little pub in a lovely part of Lincolnshire village of timberland, staff very friendly. we went for a Sunday dinner with my wife and daughter and grandchildren and son in law the meals was fantastic for the adults which all had a Sunday roast, the children meals was spot on the only thing I would say maybe the children's burger could be a little smaller, the prices was spot on for what we had and the dessert are a must ,
Went with work 16 of us in total. Pre ordered our meals and all meals came out hot. Everyone was impressed food was to a fantastic standard. Staff were efficient and super friendly. I will be back to sample more on the menu.Service: 5/5
Food not up to expectations, was highly recommended and the chef also led us to believe it would be excellent, the starters were southern fried chicken, this was only ok, the scotch egg was superb, the brie wedges were only slightly warm, nice consistency, but needed to be much hotter, the fish and chips x 2, we're completely different, one was crispy, but overcooked to burnt, the other fish had soggy batter, the fish didn't have a lot of flavour, rack of rice x 2, sauce covering them was covered by a skin, like it had been cooked and left to stand for too long, the meat was v tender, the deep fried food had a tang about it, like the fat was old and everything was cooked in the same fat, we expected the chef to visit our table after our meal, to see if we enjoyed the meal, but he did not appear, he was not that busy, we were going to return another evening, but as we were disappointed, we decided not to return.
Had an excellent meal. Well priced. Staff very friendly and helpful.Service: 5/5
Called in today for a bite to eat .. definitely was not disappointed, superb food, generous portions and very reasonably pricedService: 5/5
Everything about this pub is incredible. The staff cater to your every need and the very busy landlady and landlord still make time. Service with a smile. If you go in there with the expectation that the bad reviews are truth then you’re already ruining your own experience. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. Go in and actually meet the staff. The food is always superb. I can see some reviews and clearly these people expected a small village local pub to be a Michelin restaurant although… the food does come close. It has great range of homemade food, homemade desserts, a full range of drinks and they’re all great prices. There really is something for everything in this lovely, warm and friendly pub. It’s a happy, friendly family friend pub which has quickly become our go to local all the time. Keep up the amazing work everyone.
Rang at 5.30 and got a table for 6.15 I took my grand-daughter. Arrived a few minutes early, got a drink and were shown to our table. We ordered our food, which arrived after a short wait. Both meals were absolutely delicious! Freshly cooked, and piping hot. We were very full, but decided to have dessert anyway. We were so glad we did. Both desserts were fantastic. If you have never been here, I highly recommend you go! It's a little way out luckily I live quite close!, but it is definitely worth a visit!
Went for an evening meal with friends - great food & choice, lovely Staff. We will be back soon.Service: 5/5
