Stayed here before, great find for when im working in the area, John is a great host, the rooms are clean and warm and the beds are really comfy, tea and coffee making facilites along with bathroom products everything you need for a home from home stay. Parking right outside the accomodation so no trecking from a car park with your bags and the pub is directly across, but no noise very peaceful , lovely locals , warm and friendly , as a female sole traveller I usually stay in my room but ventured in the pub on my previous visit and had a lovely welcome, too busy this time to nip in for a drink but will always stay here when in the area.
The menu was very basic, the meal took ages, over an hour to come, even though we were the only people in the restaurant. When the food eventually came it was of a very low standard. I had gammon egg chips and peas, the gammon was so dry and tough I was unable to chew it, it seemed as if it had been cooked ages ago and been kept warm perhaps under a grill. Also when we got the bill the prices differed from those on the menu ??? My daughter was celebrating her Birthday and asked me not to cause a fuss so spoiling her day. The drinks were very nice.
Good pub with good beer, nice referb inside but shame it’s not doing food anymore.
Lovely, welcoming pub with 1st rate staff. The Landlord was friendly and honestly the perfect host... couldn't do enough for his regulars or his guests. Great atmosphere and spotless throughout, both inside the pub and in the rooms. The evening meals were great as was the cooked breakfasts in the morning. Can highly recommend.
Although there was a small mix up with our booking, the hosts were incredibly accommodating. Great, attentive and friendly service in a lovely setting. Food was excellent, and sweets to die for. Certainly we'll be back.
We had a really comfortable stay in this wonderful Inn. Our host really went out of his way to be helpful to our requests and to make our stay as enjoyable and as hassle free as possible. He is a naturally very friendly and likeable person. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay at the Red Lion.
Stopped at the Red Lion for a night last week of June as we were in Lincoln on family business. The room was neat, tidy and clean and served it's purpose, the pub itself was a traditional pub with all that entails all in a lovely village with plenty of charm in it's own right. John the landlord was a pleasure, always friendly, happy to help and made a top notch breakfast prompt in the morning. I wouldn't hesitate to stop at the Red Lion again if we find ourselves in Lincoln in future.
Beautiful pub. Lovely B&B. Absolutely first class. I highly recommend a stay here. The landlord, John and landlady, Sam are great people, really friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere. I will personally stay here whenever I'm in the area. The pub serves food too, that is homemade and really worth stopping for a meal. Altogether a top rating in my opinion. Well worth a visit.
Stayed for the night and had a lovely time. The room was clean and tidy and the full English breakfast was great. Nice selection of beer as well
Lovely pub, serving food inside and out. Very friendly staff and probably not the comment the chef wanted but the chips were great!
