Friendly and obliging staff. Would have been good to have had the specials board brought to our attention and have someone check everything was ok but the food was good, the premises pleasant and the atmosphere relaxed. Would probably visit again.

Stopped for a quick drink before heading back too the Midlands we will be back very nice place even better in the summer

I took some friends for dinner on Friday night. We were sat down and after a while were asked if we wanted drinks and if we had made our minds up yet, we said only just got here so no not yet, having made up our mind we were then told what wasn’t avalibile, somethings were not on the menu at this point we were shown the “specials board” so we started again. I had the Hunters chicken, it was very dry, the bacon burnt, the chips were either burnt or uncooked and the cheese on the top looked like it had been in the Microwave for at least 10 minutes, I spoke to the waitress and complained about the meal, she smiled, nodded and walked off. We then waited for at least 20 minutes for a drink and had to ask the waitress if she could stop wiping tables and could we get another drink. Again we had to wait for a long time for the bill, we then decided it would be a lot quicker if we went to the bar to pay. On the way out my wife ( Designated driver so only soft drinks) fell quite hard on the uneven pathway to the car and hit her face hard, she sat there for a while as she was quite shaken, two guys from the bar who were having a break outside just watched, eventually after about 5 minutes one of them got here a chair to sit on while she caught her breath. Over all the whole meal was a shambles from start to finish. I own a high class business about a mile from the Owl, I very often tell my customers that they should go for a meal. I can assure you I won’t be doing so in the future.

Great service, food was out quickly, and large portion sizes! Had the Half Roast Chicken for Sunday lunch and it was actually half a chicken...really good quality though Pricing not bad...not the cheapest but it's good quality food. Would recommend
