T-Bone steak was excellent. Good meat and cooked to perfection. Sea bass very nice as well. Staff are fantastic. We were served by Arthur he was excellent. Overly lively atmosphere. Although we had to he family with us (12yr and 2yr old kids) it wasn't too noisy, perfect.

My wife and 2 young daughters ate here on a Friday evening. The welcome was warm and the dining room was really modern and well appointed. The service from the staff was equal to the best I’ve had. So friendly and smiley and happy to assist. The food was truly excellent. I’ve had equivalent in Michelin star restaurants! I hope to return and highly recommend it for small groups and families alike.

The food here is top quality. The food menu has something to suit everyone, with a drinks menu that is above what competitors will offer. The staff are always on hand to help and you can see that if a mistake has been made (if ever) that they try to rectify it as soon as possible. Although the general experience of the many times that I have come here is excellent, there has been one issue that has cropped up. This is the wait for the food which can take up to 40-50 minutes from when it is ordered to when it arrives on the table. This is not acceptable, however when it was pointed out I did receive a rather large discount from the bill as a gesture of good will. All in all the place is very pleasant and comfortable to be in. The food is excellent when it arrives and the staff make you feel welcome. I would however always book in advance because it can get very busy.

A really popular bar and restaurant. Booked a table well in advance for the main restaurant for 730 but on arrival was told it is not guaranteed where you eat. Waited over an hour for table despite booking. Ended up in a poky corner by the waitress station. Could barely hear ourselves think. Not a place for a romantic meal!! As for the food. Over priced. Not for me.

This was out third visit to the Orange Tree. Previously, we've been impressed by the quality of food and service, but this time it was awful, and it spoiled our celebration of Valentine's Day. It took 28 minutes for our first drinks to arrive - we had to ask three times - and the waitress returned twice to check on what we'd ordered. We both ordered a fillet steak. Mine was fine, but my husband's was like a piece of old leather. It was clearly brisket and not fillet - open-grained and tough - so he sent it back to the cook (it wasn't replaced). To be fair, they deducted the price of the steak from the bill, but it meant, in effect that his meal consisted of vegetables and chips. No apology was forthcoming. Service between courses was also painfully slow. Not a good experience this time. When we were served poor food at another restaurant, we received profuse apologies an d a full refund of the cost of the entire meal. That's what good service should be like.
