Was a bit of an effort getting in. I think we got redirected 3 times to the lower balcony area. Not a fan of unreserved seating and then being told merchandise is available downstairs in the stalls but not until after the show...What's that all about? Especially if you have to make a quick getaway. Otherwise the venue was fine and a great night was had watching the wonderful Richard Hawley
Great venue in old theatre with standing and two balconies. Only thing that really lets it down is the appalling drinks selection. Soft drinks are served out of 2 litre bottles that aren’t cold. Alcoholic drinks are all multinationals and nothing local.
I'd been looking forward to the show for a long time. It had been cancelled last September 23 and re scheduled to March 24. There were 4 in our party and we've never been so cold at a show ever. It really affected the night and even dancing didn't warm us as the show only started at 21.45pm and by then we were hypothermic. Drinks were very expensive.. £7 for 2 soda waters. The dancers were fabulous and very entertaining. The musicians were very good too. I was disappointed that the show songs were not all from the 1920s. We'd made a massive effort to dress authentically and then there was a mish mash of songs performed that had nothing to do with the 20s or 30s, a terrible shame for the price of the tickets, £173.00 for 4. The toilets were very cold. Cold water only and no soap in the gents. The theatre itself is beautiful but this show, Frank Martinis Party of the century didn't do itself any favours.
Nice little venue, beer £5.50 a can. Not great but better than I expected. Had a great evening. Johnny Marr was pure class
Great medium-sized music venue. Beautiful interior and great stage which you can easily see from either the main dancefloor or seated tiers. The staff are exceptionally friendly and seen some great acts here. Fairly easy to park in the local neighborhood too. Will definitely be returning.
Cool old venue and good sound quality for the gig. But organisation is terrible, and the bar situation is dire. The bar is just a tiny counter with no beer pumps and soft drinks coming from store bought bottles no ice either.
Great venue just out of the Liverpool city centre. Easy to get to, parking a fiver or park on the road/grass opposite venue. Good acoustics, bar had usual cans. Good viewing from stalls standing, lower and upper balconies.
Old theatre on the outskirts of Liverpool centre... Easy to access by car... off street parking available nearby which I used on my visit FYI.. there was a car park opposite the theatre and it was £7... for the event and cash payments were required... Stewards/security outside managing the crowd of people attending did a great job of getting everyone in... Friendly staff at the entrance and inside the theatre made sure everyone was looked after and enjoyed the show Inside the theatre it looked like it was in need of a little TLC... and a little tired But I believe it is very old theatre The toilets were clean but lacking a hand dryer or paper towels... Feet stick to the floor as you are walking up to your seat... but the Seats were more than adequate and the most comfortable I have sat on in any theatre with ample leg room Bar available and around £5... for a can of beer.... But I have to say...had a great time.. thoroughly enjoyed the show and would return if I had the opportunity to see a show here again..
Went to see King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard at this lovely venue. Reasonable prices and a Lovely old Victorian Theatre.
On a damp Sunday evening we were at the Liverpool Olympia to see the Gossip . What a grand building it is with large standing area and 2 balconies in use . There are several bars for those who wish to partake. The gig started with Dead Pony who performed brilliantly . Beth Ditto and The Gossip came on stage and the sell out crowd erupted. She certainly knows how to wow the crowd. It was our first visit here and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience
