We loved coming here for our breakfasts during our stay in Liverpool. The pub is pleasant, clean and air conditioned during the summer, and the staff is friendly. Water is provided next to the coffee machines. Great view by the window facing the James Street station exit teeming with activity.
Rolled into Liverpool late and was really hungry. Most places were closed or not serving food at that hour. Walked in The Captain Alexander had a seat and all six of us were fed a perfect meal. Awesome atmosphere. We loved it!
Had a day over in Liverpool. After a walk around the Albert Dock. My partner and I decided to go for food and a drink. Got to say, one of the nicest spoons I’ve ever been in. The staff were friendly and good sense of humour. The prices for food and drink are great value for money. In a good location, just opposite James street railway station.
Customers pretty much always know what they get with a Wetherspoons pub. Great value food and drink, with efficient service in a great location. My friend was over from Dubai and he couldn't believe a double Tanquerey and tonic was £5.86 neither could I, as I rarely check prices! Probably seating 200 people on the ground floor, it is nearly always full, day or night, most days of the week. Located directly opposite James St train station, it is a great starting or finishing place for those coming from the Wirral line or from North Wales. A short walk across The Strand road to the Albert Dock or less than 5 minutes to Liverpool One shopping centre, it is well located for the main attractions in Liverpool.
Very lively here with an impressive landscaped roof terrace. Will need to be patient because it can get really busy at the bar. Shusti the female team leader is an asset to the brand
Lovely, big and spacious Wetherspoon quick quality food and very reasonable for the price They have a nice outdoor terrace around the back Fast speedy service and friendly happy helpful staff I always order through the app because it's so easy and simple and they have this feature at all the Weatherspoon
Me and my friend had a lovely time at this restaurant, where there are fancy lights and glorious Christmas decorations all around. I enjoyed the combo of vodka with Monster at comfortable seating, finding a small area in this Wetherspoon's for my friend to relax and cleanliness had been maintained!
In fact I fell in love with the Wetherspoon concept. Although the food is not great in means of delicatesse, their promotions are insanely good. You get a fulfilling snack or meal and for another 2 pounds you get nearly any drink in the menu. Just loved it

I visited the city and had the hotel just in front of this Wetherspoon. Prices were obviously affordable and the quality of the food was really good - even ordering meat. Good prices, good food and friendly personnel. Recommended!
