It was my partner's birthday when we dined and we were presented with complimentary glasses of prosecco and some lovely olives whilst we selected our choice of food. We both started with the scallops from the daily specials and these were delicious, perfectly cooked on a smooth parsnip puree with strips of bacon and parsnip crisps. For my mains a had shoulder of lamb with fondant potato and spring vegetables which was soft and delicious with a very lovely fondant potato and a lovely mix of vegetables. My partner's hake on a herby mash was also superb. I finished with some excellent local cheeses and home made biscuits whilst mt partner had an excellent chocolate panacotta. We had an excellent Nero d'Avola to go with it and the whole evening was perfect. Well worth the journey and a place not to be missed if in the area. Our meal with 3 courses and a bottle of excellent wine was just over £80 which was amazing value for the quality of the food.

A hidden gem well worth discovering. The food was excellent together with the lovely hosts Flo & Kevin. This was a real treat. Thanks again to Flo and Kevin for being amazing helping us get a taxi on a busy Saturday night. We made it!

Good quality food. Good service. Better food than Rick Stein's pub for a similar price.

Went here for my birthday while on holiday in Cornwall and it was fantastic! Flo remembered our names from the booking. I got a glass of Prosecco for my birthday. The food and service were first class. Highly recommended!
