Six of us went here for son's birthday meal a couple of weeks ago, really surprised and a little worried as restaurant empty apart from another table of four and haven't been here for over 20 years. Needn't have worried as waiter/waitress very attentive, food hot and very good, a little slow but it didn't bother us. We had a lovely meal and time and would return. Only thing, could do with some background music as restaurant empty and quiet....

Great pub. Nice they've not given in to that dreadful trend of playing music to inject "atmosphere". Nice to hear the rise and fall of chatter and laughter as people come and go as it would always have been.
