This is an old coaching inn as such needs  renovated throughout. Our room was directly above the bar and could hear every conversation, quiz and football match.  At 11pm silence, apart from the busy road outside. The bathroom was very small, very dark no windows and vent not working.  The best thing was the walk into Oxford and the pub across the road. It served its purpose.

Pete the landlord has always made my friends and I feel very welcome. He's a generous guy and is always helpful. Sitting out front on the benches having an ice cold beer with friends, a perfect afternoon.☺👏

stars every time, Pete is a fantastic landlord, Old black horse gives your a cosy home feel, brilliant location on st.Clements (10 min walk into town over Magdalen bridge) plenty of parking in the private car park at the back. Would highly recommend THE OLD BLACK HORSE for all event's , drinks, meals, overnight staying.
