From the moment you step foot into the building you are treated to a warm welcome from the staff that greet you. There is a lovely warm feeling to the building with comfortable sofas and chairs in small huddles away from other groups while you wait for your table. The dining area itself is also beautifully decorated and has a really nice rustic/traditional feel to it. The food is amongst the best around. I have been to one or two of the Michelin star restaurants in Monmouthshire and genuinely I cannot say there is any difference between the Newbridge on Usk and those restaurants. The portions are not huge and are not meant to be, but they are meticulously cooked. The only difference between the Newbridge and the local Michelin star restaurants is the price - it's not cheap but it is certainly better value than those. The waiters/waitresses cannot do enough for you but equally they do not hover either, they are clearly well trained. There is an excellent wine list and local ales available too. Great restaurant!

We stayed here last weekend. Was a lovely stay. Few things that didn't put the stay up to 5 star's. Ran the bath twice the water went from green (first go) second it went orange...then had no hot water. Told the person charge however i felt like it was just dismissed as no one had spoke of it again to us. The other thing was the price for a drink. A double vodka was £6.15 with a splash of orange juice £1...so £7.15... expensive! The food was very good and we had a comfortable stay!

Lovely friendly staff and comfy and stylish rooms. The food was pretty good too. Only minor gripe would be that twice the reception was left unattended when we needed something.

Very friendly staff (special mention to Richard) from the start till finish, limited choice on main course but very good taste , good location but not very much advertise or sign post, food presentation good , limited choice of food on Sunday menu, definitely a place for family dining or groups. overall what made us happy is friendliness off staff and we will definitely come back.
