Very nice. Smashing landlord and landlady. I had one of the new rooms in the courtyard which was 1st class. Food good too.

Had a meal there on the 04.04.18. One of the best meals I've had in a long time Fast friendly service, the staff are friendly and chatty, they don't just walk past and ask how the food is, just as you shovel a mouthful in. The new menu is reasonably priced, they also have a budget menu that looked just as good as the main menu.

Visited here on a rainy Saturday evening with no booking. Luckily the hostess was able to accommodate us and we were shown to a table. We were served relatively quickly given how busy they were. We had starters (crumbed brie and black pudding with poached egg) which were great, followed by our mains (belly pork and rib eye steak) which again was great!!! We finished off the meal by sharing a scrumptious carrot cake.. All in all, I can only say that I highly recommend The Castle Inn.

Excellent food at a fair price and with a good range of choice. Friendly service and great location.

Absolutely lovely Sunday lunch. Proper home cooked food! Lovely pub/hotel. Lovely friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!
