Waited 4 weeks for a health check with a nurse to be registered before I could even see a doctor...I turned up and they said they'd been trying to contact me to say my appointment was cancelled... They had written my number down wrong despite me writing it clearly on 5 different pieces of paper.They hadn't even checked. No apology for this. Came back 3 days later for a new nurse new patient health check and they said the nurse wasn't in. Very rude and dismissive. After nearly bursting into tears they double checked and it turns out she was in! No apology was given...just sit down then. Came out of nurses appointment asked to now finally see a doctor and they said I had to ring up. Even though I was right there. So I stood in front of them and rang up. And waited 40 minutes to get through. No apology. They say to get help with mental health...but nobody seems to want to help me here.
Worst gp I have ever had , been calling since 8.30 and called them 39 times but it keeps beeming, they dont have a robot to put people on hold and everyone to have their place in a cue, I also went in to the surgery but the laidy at the reception with an pasive reaction told me that I need to call to make an appoiment and even thought she wasnt on the phone at that time the phone still just beeming, as a new member of The New Surgery I had the worst service ever
Damn near impossible to get anyone on the phone. The phone just keeps beeping and even though you don't get through even to an answerphone you are charged EVERY time you try to call. You either have to get well or go to A&E, getting pretty sick pardon the unintended pun of trying to speak to someone. I think they've got the phone rigged.
I phoned 500 times before I got a answer thay trying to get me to there pharmacy wen mine is in mexborough if you need help with two ore more you got to phone each one separate
So far very poor. Recently moved to area and this was the only practice that would take us on at our new address. I wasn't given any choice as other local surgeries asked my address and simply said no we are not taking on patients from that address. The New Surgery is far from new, very run down. So don't let the name gve you any illusions. Waiting outside in all weather's is poor not to mention ridiculous. If hospitals are now seeing patients properly I find it hard to understand why this surgery and chemist are hiding behind closed doors. I had an appointment with a nurse and I arrived 5 minutes early and was kept waiting outside an additional 15 minutes. My appointment was for 9.30 so I fail to understand why I was kept waiting so long. I was about to get back in my car and go back to work. Perhaps if a member of staff could have informed me the member of staff was running late but that perhaps is too much of an effort to make a journey from desk to door. The lady at the side of me was elderly and I felt extremely sorry for her she only wanted her prescription from the chemist and she was still waiting when I left. The chemist person was going in and out asking her questions that would have took half the time had the lady been able to be dealt with inside over the counter. My experience of a telephone appointment with a gp called Nwafor was pointless and he gave me negligent and incorrect information. It wasn't until I spoke to a receptionist called Beverly about this telephone conversation that my issue was dealt with correctly. The one star is for Beverly
A terrible surgery. I appreciate the NHS is overwhelmed with Covid but I think this surgery is using it as an excuse. My mum works as an NHS receptionist in Leeds, they have all patients back in the surgery and are given lists from 111 calls as priority. They are using their online booking service for routine appointments. New surgery still have you queuing outside the door, the receptionists are sat without masks on but are arsey when you arrive without one. One receptionist is beyond rude and always hurry’s your off the phone. You cannot book any appointment in advance, you must ring at 8.30 or nothing. After ringing 111, last night for my toddler they assured me my GP would see me. Managed to get through at 10.05 and all appointments are gone. They will see if a GP can ring me to give advice!! It’s disgusting. They are lazy and should be having patients back on site, giving face to face appointments. I’ve also had the worst experience with cervical screening at this surgery where my notes weren’t up to date and I was sent letters saying it was overdue, even though it wasn’t because they had done it 3 months previously! It’s a shambles
I have never had any problems here, apart from the minor irritant of getting through in a morning. The staff are very good and have always gone out of their way to help. The standing outside in all weathers need sorting however; you can go in a shop/pub/bus, but not to your doctors. Vulnerable p[tients need to be allowed inside.
If you are ill you will have better results contacting a witch doctor. I was lucky my illness had resolved its self in the 112 attempts to get through on the phone, wouldn't have mattered anyway as they had no appointments left at that time. The old dear on reception should retire, rude and as abrasive as sand paper. Customer service is an alien concept to this surgery. Using covid as an excuse to have old people queueing outside in the rain is a nice touch. Matches the soviet era design of the building. Staff unhelpful and doctors only interested in writing you a sick note instead of actually treating the problem. I work so would just like to be sorted. Seem to follow the whole have you done a PCR test? as an excuse not to do any work. People wonder why the NHS is failing pop along to the new surgery and see why. Avoid at all costs.
Really good practice always happy to help , receptionists very helpful every time I have called. Never not been turned down for a appointment. I had to ring other day and got a call back within the hour and sorted out despite the current situation with covid. Doctors always very helpful and nurses every time I have had appointment and listen to you. Great practice !!!
The last few time’s that I have tried to get an appointment has been horrific , I work and trying to explain that it’s not possible to ring at 8:30am when in a classroom is impossible. I felt worse with the stress of it all just didn’t know what to do. When you are ill this is the last thing that you need.
