Came to this pub as a friend suggested it for me to try. The place is very cozy, friendly and welcoming. The food that we had was fresh and delicious, and didn't take long to wait. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, made me feel as a visitor from the far east, felt very welcomed. And since the location is very close to the "Wirral Circular Trail", give it a go when you are in Willaston for a break
We were on a walk down the Wirral way from Hooton station and this is a really nice handy place to stop for lunch as it is on a crossroads and there are numerous walks in different directions that can be done from here. They have a great menu and I tried out the pulled lamb baguette. It was a great tasty meal at a reasonable price. They also have a good range of beers. Service was excellent and efficient.
Food was very good, tasty, though slightly overpriced for the standard in comparison with equivalent establishments. However we thoroughly enjoyed it. On slight negative is the location of the ashtray on the wall at the back entrance. This means non smokers have to walk through smoke to enter. This is by no means a problem at just the Nags Head, but I found it particularly bad tonight.
We had had a late breakfast before our long walk. We only wanted a snack, but then decided on desert when we saw apple and Berry crumble with custard . It was washed down well with an IPA beer. The staff were friendly and polite, and the manager was helpful with our choices. It was a lovely sunny day and we were able to sit in the well kept beer garden. I would highly recommend
Fantastic food and service. Dog friendly. Food: 5/5
Lovely service as always! Considering there were 16 of us, all dealt with incredibly well. Gorgeous food, huge portions and so well cooked and presented! Thanks so much Food: 5/5
A local village pub. We went in on a Friday night, and it was busy. We waited about 5 minutes to be served at the bar. On ordering drinks, my daughter nearly 21 was not asked for ID, but later, a bartender came over and asked her for ID? I understand that it is challenge 25, but please ask for ID at the point of sale as it brings attention to us and especially her in the middle of a very busy pub. I just hope that this wasn't linked to being the only people of colour in here... We have drank and eaten lunch in here before, so we will be back, but it will be something I will be mindful of. A lovely atmosphere and the evening food looked amazing. We are looking forward to eating in here for dinner in the near future.
First visit and won't be my last. Great location, lovely setting loads of parking fabulous service and amazing food - every dish was great. I can't wait to go again.
Clapped, traditional old public house. Serves food all day and seven days a week. It's got a beer garden longer and bar. They have a neat little vegetarian selection too. You've got to try three hand cut chips, they are some of the best chips ever ever had... Really recommended.
Stopped off for a Sunday roast as pollards was busy but I am glad it was as this was one of the best roast dinners we have had. Staff very friendly and can't do enough we will definitely be back xxFood: 5/5
