Popped in for drinks after a walk locally. Not been in before despite living locally. Very impressed, a nice pub. Bright and spacious. Food looked good but didn't try on this occasion. Good for football if you are interested. Good range of gins and other drinks and a couple of well kept cask beers with Doom Bar being particularly good and no rip off prices either. More importantly staff very welcoming. Will return and try the food next time.
Really really nice pub. Wonderful warm welcome from the staff. Food was really good and really competitively priced. Drink where of good value too! Sorry to add a bit of negative review after having reading most of the previous being do positive but we just didn't feel it....not a great selection of beers..not one ipa..bog standard gins an not even served in a gin glass....barman looked like he needed a break...no warm welcome from new management...tried the carvery a couple of weeks ago an sorry to say not great as the veg was overcooked.. roasties tiny an quite hard.... Great for watching football though!
This pub is a godsend, after being let down by the Eastham ferry for my 40th birthday meal the lady ham was more than accommodating for me and my family with in 10 mins of notice, fantastic food and lovely staff. All I can say is thankyou Maria
Great pub with lovely food! The new managers - Jay & Stephen have massively transformed the pub and its atmosphere. The food is fresh and so much better than it used to be, prepared and cooked amazingly by Stephen. They have all put a lot of time and effort into making this pub what it should be. A nice, friendly, welcoming local!Food: 5/5

I love this place, sadly covid killed its vibe and the brewery owners need to spend some money on it to get its full potential, but Maria and her team do really well regardless. Fingers crossed it gets a makeover, they have great acts on and its in a catchment area so
Watching the Champions League final. Plenty of TVs, reasonably priced beer and not a bad atmosphere. Management are refusing to put the sound of the football on! Apparently the TVs are set at a low volume, despite them playing music through their PA loudly in the build up. Leaving at HT to watch it at home!
