Story

Welcome to The Mole & Chicken
The Mole and Chicken is a wonderful country pub & restaurant with five beautiful letting rooms set high on the border offering outstanding views across Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire.
A warm and friendly reception awaits, and your hosts Steve & Suzanne Bush will endeavour to make your stay as memorable as possible.
The 60 cover restaurant offers a blend of British and Mediterranean food using classical cooking techniques and fresh local produce. A well chosen wine list accompanies the light lunch and a la carte menus and there is also a finer wine and drinks list for the connoisseur.
In the winter months relax by the open log fire or enjoy the views from the terrace in the summer, whatever you choose the Mole & Chicken is certain to please!

Gourmet food served by friendly staff in a traditional pub atmosphere. Wonderful warming log fires on what was a very snowy weekend. The chef-proprietor went miles out of his way (literally!) when our taxi failed to turn up and he drove us to our destination himself. Very highly recommended.

Great place, fairly rural so taxi or driving required but well worth the visit. The duck salad is the recommendation I've had from people so I tried it tonight, wow, didn't expect that, what a lovely little salad with a punch of flavour. Also had the beef short rib as part of the Xmas menu, again, wow, it was so good. 2 courses £27, some would say pricey but it's a palatal experience imo. Service was quick and friendly and the food was fairly quick too despite how busy the place was.

Valentines menu was beautiful. Always enjoy a special visit here ♡ glass if bubbly on arrival topped it off nicely. Nice touch guys, good work.

Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Don't have the burger poor quality meat. Very rubbery go for something like a steak!! Seriously no to the burger!!! Starters very good!!!

Excellent! My wife was taken by 3 girlfriends to lunch here for her birthday and they all enjoyed a delicious meal - complete with Happy Birthday plate and candle in a pomegranate balloon. A great local eaterie with a very good chef and helpful, friendly staff!
