The food and the service is absolutely wonderful here. My 6 year old loves the steak with peppercorn sauce. However, as they do not do children's portion for the steak option, she shares my plate and we order an extra side of fries and a starter to make the food go further. The restaurant does offer half portions for children, usually. There is limited parking so you may have to park on the street. The chef is French we think and he really knows what he's doing. You will have to go a very long way in this area to get food as good - it's not cheap but you won't be disappointed. Incidentally, they serve the duck pink, so I asked for mine well cooked... aw so lovely.

Meet in the mouth food - can highly recommend the duck and lemon tart (not together...as separate courses!), fantastic service and very reasonably priced. We also used the snug for private drinks before the meal and it was a lovely intimate and cosy space to start the evening.

Just had an excellent 3 course meal for 4 of us. The duck leg had a delicious sauce. We will return!

Very friendly pub with a French twist. Food was excellent and good range of draft beers on tap although lacking in choice of largers. Well worth a visit.

We went with a Travelzoo voucher last weekend for lunch with friends. The food was all very delicious and for £13.00 per head for two courses and coffee was absolutely fabulous value. Friendly staff in a lovely pub in a beautiful village x
