Visit here regularly, always happy with food especially the pizzas and coffee, staff usually polite and attentive however the two cappuccinos today were only half full cups of warm coffee and too much froth, hope this is just a blip as they had a very busy day!! Very sorry also to complain about the toilets which I have never used before, they need a thorough cleaning and updating.

Brilliant place to eat! A little piece of Italy.... In the UK..... By the sea! Happy days!! Lovely food, great staff! Good music, great views. Must visit if you like a good Italian.

This place is under staffed, don't even have a chef just a bar boy and girl, waited over 30mins for a cold meat platter to find out they hadn't even started putting it together, so canceled order and left!!

In the space of 12 months, the Met Wine Bar at Ventnor has gone from one of the best restaurants on the Isle of Wight to one of the worse and after speaking to Mandy, the owner, I can understand why . Last week I had dinner there and it was a terrible dining experience. The food and service was very bad. I realise that everyone has an off day so when I rang the owner to voice my disappointment thinking that she'd want the feedback, she wouldn't let me get a word in . She told me that everything was going well and 'if I didn't like it not to come.' With this sort of attitude at the top it doesn't surprise me why the place has gone down hill. I used to be a regular customer and I would recommend The Met Bar to anyone who would listen, but no more. Due to it's stunning location you will probably be safe to still go as long as you don't want anything that requires cooking. All I can say to you Mandy , is that things won't always be great and then you will perhaps realise that you'll need to value your customers a bit higher. I however, won't be one of them.
