The team of smiles
Our pub is found just off the main street of ventnor. We are a tradtional, local pub.
We serve 3 cask ales, often having a local ale on tap. We have a comprehensive stock of spirits and we are very proud of our whiskey collection.
We serve traditional pub food which we are happy to serve in the main room of the pub or our very old quirky stable dining area.
We are doggy and children frendly.
Come and see us and say hello. But, don't get us mixed up with the crab and lobster at bembridge!

What a cracking pub nnNice ales, great food Sunday Roast recommended & very friendly & helpful staff nnThanks very much!
Went as four and a dog to eat and watch the football.nThe premises has the feel of pubs I went into in the 70s but that is not meant to detract from it. It is a very friendly and cozy atmosphere. The beer was well kept and both beers on tap were new to me so that's a plus.nnWe are only visitors to the island but would definitely returnnnThe most important thing is that one of us has a wheat allergy and the lady cooking took great pains to make sure she was ok by setting up a second chip pan. She also came to explain that this was why the food was taking a little longer.
What an absolute pleasure it was coming to this fine establishment! We were looking for a homely pub meal which was family friendly and the Crab and Lobster Tap certainly delivered! The owners were so lovely and welcoming and the food was simply yummy! We tried their fish, chips and mushy peas, the seafood pie with potato mash on the top, the gammon ham, eggs, chips and peas and the kids enjoyed chicken nuggets and chips. For our pudding we had sticky date pud with ice cream and rhubarb crumble with custard....an absolute delight to eat! It is simple foods done really well. A lot of love and amazing service makes this super special and we will definitely return again one day!
Visited on Wednesday 1st FebnTook advantage of the half price menu offer. Was not disappointed, great food and drinks. Friendly service. My steak was cooked perfectly and my wife's gammon was delicious. Thank you
