Grand beautiful building. Extensive garden and plenty pf parkingnStaff were very professional and friendly. Food was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit
Lush cocktails, lovely bar lady..nThe starters were fab.. the squid, bread and scallops.nWhile dinned in the restaurant, we had NO table check. So couldnt say what was wrong, as the waitress was busy with 6 other tables alone. I complained about my chicken half roast. Left half the chicken Tasted like it was microwaved then popped on the grill . Didnt get any feedback.nThe pork belly could of done with being coloured on the grill n cooked slower or be given a steak knife to use. Total bill was 140 for 3 ppl..nnWe had travelled too from milton keynes, to take mom 4 a special late mothers day lunch.
Very little was great. The staff were too busy, not very friendly and very unhelpful. The restaurant was very noisy and a loud table nearby were not asked to keep their noise down. Whilst people are free to enjoy themselves, they should not be aloud to intrude on others enjoyment.The food did not represent good value for money. The wine was good.
I visited on a Sunday evening and had the sea bass fillets. Simply fantastic. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. A great surprise and well worth the trip from Luton where I was forced to spend a night waiting for a flight.
We booked the conservatory area of the pub for a private party for my sons 21st. Right from the beginning the team were very polite and helpful. The booking process was easy and the room was just right for us.we were allowed in earlier than the booking to set up decorations which was great. The night went really well with the team managing to cater to all our requests .nOver all everyone who attended were very happy, and commented on the quality of the food and service. We went for the 10 piece buffet which was very reasonably priced for the quality we received. The drinks were a bit on the expensive side , but you expect that at a quality venue.nThanks very much to everyone who was involved.
