Story

Olde Kings Arms has been about since the early 16th century, a fact bourne out by the patronage of Henry VIII, in the days when he was courting Anne Boleyn, and later when the Inn was visited by Edward VI, the son of Henry's third wife.
Not only a friendly pub, but we offer eight executive rooms, all with air con and television etc that are available to book, a superb menu and a range of cask ales and fine wines.

To the owner thank you for your childish reply it was very professional of you, and makes your really good business look even better. Just to confirm there was no under sink cover on at the time of me taking the photos, and I would definitely not be lying down on your hotel floor to do so. Maybe as a company you should take a look at the photos I posted as photos do not lie, and maybe take abit of responsibility. Maybe you should also treat your customers with a bit of respect and help them if they have a problem and want help. Your hobbies sound great but maybe you should spend less time with your hobbies and spend a bit more time at your hotel cleaning and decorating the rooms to get them up to scratch and at a good standard ................................. This hotel is disgraceful the room i was staying in number 2 was disgusting, the cleanliness is appalling. They should not be allowed to open as a hotel with the condition of the room. I asked if there were any alternative rooms and was told a simple No Please be aware when booking to stay here
Nice pub, bartender heard us talking about a beer and gave us a free sample because we'd never had it before. I thought that was nice. Beer was tasty, expensive but no more so than any other pub. Nice atmosphere.Service: 5/5
We stayed at the Olde Kings Arms and requested breakfast at 8.30am. When we came downstairs the next morning, the breakfast area was in darkness and the door was locked. A person got out of a car and said he was the chef. He let us in and there were several other people waiting, obviously for their breakfast. The chef said that the host who was supposed to have opened up 30 mins earlier had not turned up. Nothing had been set up so it was obvious that we would be waiting some considerable time and with a long journey ahead of us we could not hang around. Later, I rang the pub and was asked to send an email. The owner Ben said he hadn’t received my email but to be fair, the he looked into the matter and sent a detailed response. He also offered us a partial refund which was very generous.
Nice pub in Hemel Hempstead old town. It is near where we live, so we go there quite regularly. Normally the food is good but today we ordered nachos. Unfortunately they were not great.Food: 3/5
Good food, quirky but well equipped family room. Lovely lady serving the breakfast. Great location in center of town but with inexpensive car parking nearby.Food: 4/5
Absolutely love this place, the staff and the regulars. I've met some life long friends here abd always go and pop in whenever I'm in the area. Great rooms, great food and amazing breakfasts not forgetting their famous Sunday roasts.Food: 5/5
Lovely place to stop for something to eat or just to have a drink. Completely dog friendly, water bowls inside the door, and a treat barrel on the shelf for your 4 legged friend.
What can I say… The food is just perfect, people are friendly and our dog is not just welcome, but gets attention from pretty much anyone inside! And they have cookies for the dog ;Food: 5/5
Amazing food and service we had the Sunday roast we didn't want it to end the flavours were amazing and the vegetables fresh and tasty. Our waiter service was attentive.Food: 5/5
