This restaurant provides a lovely experience. The owner is a friendly person who makes you feel welcome. The food is of a decent standard. I had sea bass (off the bone) which came in fillets. Was delicious. Would recommend this restaurant. However, for larger groups (5 or more) it is best to book well in advance as the space is limited but the staff are friendly and I'm sure all can enjoy themselves there.

Fantastic restaurant right in the heart of the old town. There is a car park opposite and plenty of street parking. The food was delicious and the menu catered to all tastes and dietary requirements. This restaurant is a real gem.

Had lunch with friends and a couple of rugrats in tow at Alberto's a few Saturdays ago. The recent makeover makes the place look modern and elegant and apparently the menu has had a revamp too. I liked the fact that the menu fell between Italian staples and dishes I'd never heard of before. My pasta dish was generous and tasty, and it was evident that it was made with a few fresh ingredients. The children's portion of penne ragu was made with the same care as any adults would be (usually kids meals have meagre portions and bland pasta). The ragu had a deep richness that was truly authentic and gave this kitchen classic an elevated status. The arancini balls we had to start and the meringue in my pavlova were possibly the best of those that I've ever eaten. Service was friendly and attentive. A perfect place for a special meal or just to eat a bowl of perfect pasta bolognese.
