Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience, our table which was for 17 people that was booked well in advance really wasn't suitable. A rectangle and a circle table were placed together meaning that people had their backs to others. The staff then changed it to a straight line but it really wasn't suitable for 17, they admitted that they forgot about the 2 highchairs as part of the table, but they were on the corners anyway so was a very tight squeeze for 15 people. In my opinion the booking really shouldn't have been taken if it was too many. After this was sorted the food was good. It seemed that my dad's main pie was forgotten about as all the meals came out and this came some time after. They were very good at bringing extra veg and gravy to be honest. My roast pork was very nice and lovely roast potatoes. All in all it was a little disappointing as this was for my parents 30th wedding anniversary. Hopefully will come again as a smaller group to give it another try.
Well what can I say. That is one of the best pub meals we have had for a very long time. Worth every penny. It was so good we even left a tip. It's very rare that you get such a good meal. Lovely country pub especially good for couples. Will definitely be going back. Keep up the great work in these very hard times.
Oh what a lovely Pub. Taken there for a pre -Birthday meal. There was a vintage car rally TR owners club in the outside area. Some very nice cars. Held regularly i believe ! Period property , timber beams and open fire places. Welcoming staff and comfortable seating. Food to an excellent standard, tasty and very well presented. No rush and attentive staff. Looking forward to returning again.
We had the 1 year birthday party for our twins at the pub on Saturday and we really enjoyed it. Staff were exceptionally good and the owner really understood our needs and helped throughout the evening. Food was plenty and really tasty and the buffet arrangements looked pretty to the eye. Everything was clean and all the efforts put in by all staff helped toward a successful evening. Looking forward to our next birthday party so we can celebrate there again!

Popped in here last minute and wow what a meal !! I had homemade Chicken,Ham & Leek pie which was amazing and what a portion!! Wife had ham,egg & chips which again was lovely. Staff where so nice to, hats off to the chef, a gem right on my doorstep 10/10
Found this charming place by chance..the very nice staff fitted us in ..very last minute and boy was it a find! Lovely Sunday lunch at a sensible price. Warm and welcoming staff..highly recommend..thank you so much be back soon..
Excellent! Friendly service, welcoming dog & staff. Food really good and swift service too. Update - back again for Sunday lunch. Even better than before! Still great, if not even better service, same for the food. There also seemed to be a better ambience, wasn't bad last time, but I'd say exceptional this time. We'll be back!
Went for Christmas meal yesterday lunchtime. Food atrocious. Soup tasted like dishwater. Main course advertised as vegan loaf and was a thin sloppy slice covered in same gravy as partner's turkey dinner. Far smaller meal than for meat eaters No seasoning of otherwise good roasties. Rock hard Yorkshire's that anyway don't belong on roast other than beef.Veg had nice crunch but unseasoned. There 2.5 hours and had to leave at 3pm so can't tell you what the pudding was like as missed it. Servers were friendly and helpful but waiting half hour + between courses is not good enough. I will never return.
Really nice pub! The food was good, owners were friendly and really took pride in their pub and looking after their customers. It’s a great place to meet friends and have a casual dinner.
