A very enjoyable short stay. Having checked into our room, we found water dripping through the ceiling caused by heavy rain pooling on the roof. But it was swiftly dealt with and we were promptly given a new room and an upgrade!. Food good, service friendly and an ideal place to go out and enjoy BSE we were there for a concert at the Apex. Appreciated the valet parking.
We stayed at the hotel for my daughter's wedding and held the reception in The Vaults and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish the service was excellent. Every single member of staff went over and above to ensure everything ran smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble.nThe room was spacious, clean with all the amenities we needed.nnThe Vaults made an unforgettable reception venue, full of character and charm. The guests are still talking about it now.nnI am so grateful to the team for helping and making my daughter's big day absolutely perfect for her and her now husband.nnHighly recommend this hotel for both the venue and accommodation. The location is also perfectly located.
My wife and I visited for a concert at The Apex which was great. We had eyed up The Angel several years ago, because we have enjoyed staying at provincial hotels like this.nHowever, The Angel was a cut-above the rest. From the friendly welcome, to the fantastic early evening meal £35 set meal was great quality and value, to a comfortable, stylish room which was quiet even though it enjoyed lovely views over the market square. We liked the sense that nothing was a problem for the team. The bar, lounge and dining areas have been decorated beautifully, creating a special atmosphere, especially at this time of year. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
We had a lovely lunch on our 60th wedding anniversary. The service was excellent, staff were extremely friendly and all this made our day perfect. We have happy memories of Bury St Edmunds and that is why we choose to come here on this day. Many thanks to the Angel Team for their card -it was well appreciated.nLionel and Mary B.
We were guests at a wedding last weekend at the Angel Hotel and our stay was perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the underground vault where the reception was held was amazing. Thank you to all the staff from the celebration team to waiters & waitresses and the chef who served such fabulous food. Nothing was too much trouble and you were all so accommodating. It was a weekend to remember !
