This is a nice pub to go to before painting the town red lol staff we're friendly not badly priced for a drink I did see a little car park out the backRooms: 4/5
Great little pub and great beer. Always pop in when I can.
Wicked boozer! One of the regulars was proper pie eyed tonight and starting on people for no reason. By the end of the night he was attacking people with a parasol shouting, “I earned 48 f#*%g grand last year!”. Sick night had at the boy!!! If you can avoid direct eye contact it’s a welcoming atmosphere; pool table, juke box and fit barmaid. What more you want???
Nice back garden area with cover if you want to smoke. Pool table 70p a go thought that was a bit much for pool. They have a beautiful dog that chilling in the pub as well. Not the best pub in Bury St Edmunds but not the worst ever.
Popped in to watch the football, friendly service and very accommodatingService: 5/5
£55 for a single room for the night with a nice breakfast included.. The room was clean and perfectly adequate. Needed it for a night out in Bury St Edmunds. Very central to all the pubs and high street. The Landlord was at the premises as I pulled up and he kindly showed me the parking area. Couldn't fault it. Very impressed for the money. Landlord helpful and kind..
A nice pub quiet every evening. The rooms are clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a multi chain variety B&B this isn't it. The showers hot eventually and beer cold and the greeting frosty. Update : If you're working away and start at 9am you won't get breakfast as the landlord doesn't cook breakfast until 9am. Maybe 8.30am which doesn't help if you're working in the area. Something to bear in mind when you think you're getting a B&B. Missed out on breakfast all week looking forward to the last day when I did get it. Asked for a few extra bacon and sausage and told "it's already cooked" not very endearing when he's not cooked us breakfast for the preceding 5 mornings to refuse to cook us extra on the last day and had payment for the breakfasts. A good game played slow as they say. Because of that I won't be returning if I'm every staying in the area again.
Enjoyed our stay spotlessly clean, comfortable beds. Friendly staff. No breakfast due to covid but not a problem as lots of places within a couple of minutes walk. If you want a quiet break please bear in mind it is a pub accommodation. Our stay was the England Ukraine game of the euros so it was quite lively. But silent by midnight. Would i return Yes!!!
Great place for a drink and game of poolService: 5/5
Lovely little pub in the heart of Bury, friendly, clean and atmospheric. Definitely worth a visit
