We had an excellent stay this weekend at The Dog and Partridge. The room was perfect and had been recently modernised, loved the rain forest shower! We also stopped for breakfast which was superb and great value. A big thanks to Adam and Francesca who went out of their way to make our visit a special one - will definitely be back.
I have just visited the Dog and Partridge for a couple of drinks and I was very impressed. I have had terrible experiences with Greene King pubs where the pints were flat and the service was awful but this place restored my faith!nnJack on the bar was absolutely fantastic and his service was very good. He was polite and engaging, and showed genuine pride in his work.nnThe drinks were chilled and gaseous, which is what you should expect as a given but every GK pub I have been in, the drinks have been so poor. The Fox, also located in Bury St Edmonds was an awful pub. The beer was flat and the service was shocking.nnWell done to all the staff at the Dog and Partridge, keep up the good work its much appreciated!
Absolute gem. Stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and tidy with a roll top bath and shower. Staff were helpful and friendly. Superb cooked breakfast every morning.
Love the pub, go regularly, really enjoy it there. Service is usually satisfactory, latest visit, not a good experience.nSullen attitude from hired staff, doesn't do GK any favours.
We booked a table for 25 in the evening and had a fantastic time. I was concerned that the food would take a while to come out for each course or it would be difficult for guests to remember which course they had ordered, but the staff had everyone’s names to hand, and the food for each course came out promptly and piping hot.nnThe food was honestly excellent and everyone commented how good it was, alongside the attentive and friendly staff.nnHighly recommended for atmosphere, old English style pub, food quality and staff.
