Visited 09/04 Great experience with my wife and 2 kids, taking into consideration my dietary needs asking what could be done for my meal. Supplied high chair for my daughter and on site facilities to warm her food whilst we waited for our own meals to arrive. Great staff and food will attend again. This restaurant restored some of my faith in the chain.

I came for a couple of hours to Brighton and all I wanted was to have a meal somewhere near the beach and found ‘ The Madeira at harvester’ restaurant and bar. I came with my family and we order food and drinks. The waiter was rude and the restaurant had dirty tables. ( a table next to our one was full of plates from people that were seated there when we arrived and left minutes after we sat. It was still there when we left.) the waiters were just walking around the bar talking to each other and didn’t seem to care. The food took 45min. When the food came the chicken from both plates was cold. One plate was missing a jacket potato which was replaced by fries and my plate (the Caribbean Cajun chicken) was missing the rice. We mention to the waitress about the jacket potato and he brought it to us but we didn’t want to bother about the rice since we had already waited long enough. For the price of this restaurant I would expect for a waitress to serve me or at least for the food to be as it says in the menu.

Overpriced and Dirty. The price for their food and what you get is poor value. The state of the decking is terrible, with rubbish all over the place. They also seem to think that you cant have a coffee in the dining area, and have to drink it at the bar.

The food was average. Peas were dry and batter wet. A group of nine spent a lot of money on not the best food. The waiter was the best bit of our experience as he was attentive and helpful.

Really nice place for dinner, with a great view of the beach. Food was lovely and a good selection of choices. Kid friendly which is great.
