We stayed in the guest house not the lodge - same place / management, just next door.
Room was small but perfectly adequate for a short visit, you don't visit Dublin to spend your time in the hotel room! It was clean and had everything we needed including hairdryer and iron. The hotel is on a busy junction which meant it was too noisy to have a widow open at night. Although not right in the centre of the city, close enough to walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a good selection of buffet items including fresh fruit and gluten free cereal and bread. By Dublin standards, reasonably priced considering it's not too far out. I'd stay again.

Leeson Guest House is a fairly priced basic establishment. The main thing going in its favour is the location  - 5 minutes walk from St Stephen's Green and 10 minutes from Trinity. 

Staff were welcoming on arrival.

However the rooms are cheap and this is reflected in the accommodation. The rooms are tiny - my room on the top floor was basically a double bed. There is a tiny cupboard where you can hang about 5 items. The room was boiling but a fan was provided. 

Another issue was the cleanliness of the room. We stayed 3 nights but our sheets were not changed and the bathroom was clearly not cleaned. Also, the cleaning staff left rubbish and dirty laundry in the lift until the evening which to put it bluntly is revolting. 

Good location but this Guest House is sadly let down by general shabbiness and poor housekeeping.

Stayed here just after Xmas for two nights. Found the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Stayed in one of the rooms with a sauna, very spacious, light and clean. In parts, slightly dated, but considering the location which was both quiet and within walking distance from the city centre, this was a fantastic place to stay and reasonably priced. Would definitely come back.

Good sleep, good breakfast, good value. Simple place,  does the job. Btw breakfast is 12 euro, NOT complimentary as stated in Google listing.
