I didn’t stay long I was just passing the Lawrence today and popped in for a coffee because I had an hour to kill.nnEntering the establishment it was clearly very clean, warm & welcoming and the interior was brilliantly executed and well taken taken care of and thought through. I was even greeted by the house dog which was lovely, and as somebody born in Manchester, the pictures of local places fro there were a fantastic touch from my hometown.nnThe coffee was a great price and great quality would highly recommend, I can’t wait to come back to try the food.nnThe lady that served my coffee was chatty, friendly and very accommodating in the very short time I was there, it’s always a lovely experience when customer service is done so right.
We stayed here at the weekend for a wedding. The food is amazing the best we’ve had consistently in one place before. The staff are brilliant hard working and polite. Great standard and mix of alcoholic drinks served. Really well located with everything at hand if you need it. The wedding was such an intimate service and quaint in its surroundings. I would not hesitate to recommend this place honestly, the whole package
Well we had a bad experience with the Lawrence restaurant at Xmas. They gave us a £200 voucher to use anytime .so we have 3 family members birthday altogether. So we booked a .meal for 6 adults and 3 children. Starters came and they got only 1 item which wasn't what we wanted ,then main meals came my wife had ordered her favourite Duck ,but when it arrived she said it was off,my daughter had a sniff and confirmed that was the case even the waiter called Kyle agreed and took it away .then manager came in and said to my wife it wasn't off it was a high blood count ,by then 3 of adults decided we couldn't carry on eating .An apology would have been very nice .But we will definitely will not be using the Lawrence again .kevin
I went with friends for afternoon tea for a special birthday.nWe arrived and sat in the waiting area where they brought us coffee tea, but everyone else arriving after us were shown straight to the tables.nThe soup came and we had to ask what kind it was as there was no taste to it.nThe afternoon tea plate came, nothing like the photo you see, the sausage rolls where around 2millieter thick and flat as a pancake cannot believe they called them a sausage roll.nWe asked for more clotted cream as there was only a tablespoon of it in a dish and told they had run out .nBread was that thick on the sandwiches you could not taste the filling.nI can safely say this is the worst afternoon tea I have ever had,and would not recommend.
Stayed for a wedding for two nights.nStaff were exceptional.nThe food was amazing.nThe rooms were comfortable and had everything that was needed.nOne slight improvement, more teabags!
