Stayed here for work. Room was massive although decor was dated. Shower was hot but lacked pressure. Bed was fine, carpark was a bonus and the breakfast was fantastic. Can't fault it for the price.

Booked for 3 nights left after 1. Went upstairs to room to a smell of sewage, room was disgusting, dust, mould, unclean throw on bed, dirty used cotton buds and even an empty packet of thrush cream! Worlds most uncomfortable bed, Grout filthy in bathroom, shower leaks. Anyway spent the night and looked forward to a good breakfast that other reviews had said was great. Pretty poor breakfast. Not all items off the menu, loads and loads of beans, some bacon bacon egg and 1 sausage. Made a cup of tea with milk on the turn. Got up and left

A nice hotel. Dated but nice. The lady on reception seemed like an old fashioned hotelier, with rules! We didn't make breakfast, but we're told it's good!

So, so pleasantly surprised. For English prices it was ok but the staff were so helpful and couldn't do more for you. I turned up unannounced and was welcomed with a nice double room with cable TV and a small but really cosy shower. Tea and coffee was in the room with a kettle and the beds were almost too comfortable if that is possible. I stayed for 4 nights and breakfast was the best I've had in years. Thoroughly recommend a no frills but comfortable guest house type atmosphere.

Very good value hotel, rooms at the back are quieter. Superb large English breakfasts. Very muddy unmade access to good secure rear courtyard car park. Book early to get a room when you need it.
