I had the sticky and stout burger and it was probably the best burger I've ever had - really well cooked with delicious ingredients that I think are locally sourced. There's a really nice beer garden for sitting out in when it's warm there are some undercover areas. The staff are really friendly and the prices are certainly value for money. They also have a wide range of craft ales and seem to really know their stuff in terms of beer and flavour. I've already been back since I first visited and the slaw burger got a vote of approval from my son.
Best pub in the area by a country mile! Beer selection is excellent and frequently changed usually helping shine a light on ‘smaller’ micro brewers. The food is excellent and pretty much exclusively sourced from the high street. The burger selection is a real USP compared to other in town and most certainly a great option. The staff have a real cohesive and family vibe which in turn emulates across your experience. Whether you fancy a quiet drink mid week or a very high energy, quirky and hilarious pub quiz on Sundays this place has it all.

We went here with two pushchairs, and even though we had just walked past a cafe with a sign saying no pushchairs allowed, the staff at the pub were more than welcoming and accommodating. They were so friendly and the food was so great! Really looking forward to going back.
Our first visit to Stamford, great local recommendation to go to the Kings Head. So few British pubs even sell British beers but here the choice was extensive, local the knowledge about them was excellent and they complemented the home-cooked food brilliantly. Delicious vegan menu choices too.Food: 5/5
Superb place. Went in for some drinks great service and recommendations around us were for the food. We had planned going somewhere else for food-we stayed there-we did not regret it. Lovely folks tooFood: 5/5
Best pub in Stamford for a choice of keg and draught ales. Limited seating indoors but has a very nice beer garden as well
Great pub just off the high street in Stamford. We spend an hour here in the courtyard at the back of the pub. There was a great selection of food for all dietary requirements and also lots of different beers on tap. Well worth a visit if you are in Stamford.
Had a lovely lunch here yesterday. We had a Brynjar Burgersson burger and the Braised BBQ Beef Shin. Both were cooked to perfection and very yummy! Fries were also really nice. Courtyard was nicely done and the staff very friendly, would definately return if in the areaFood: 5/5
Visited the Kings Head today for the first time and will definitely be returning. Great little historic inn with a great menu choice and choice of ales and more. Dog friendly. Very popular would advise if visiting to get there early or book a table.
