We had a delicious Sunday roast on a cold February Sunday, and after 6.6 miles with two children and dog in tow, the staff could not have been more welcoming to our party of eight. We had reserved a table, which was lucky, as it was very busy, but if we had been a smaller party, we could probably have been seated. The food was exceptionally good - at around £15 per plate, you would expect it to be - but with a very good value offering for children on the children's menu, our eight-year-old was delighted with his children's roast beef, which was very generous and with a Yorkshire pudding almost as big as his head! We would love to come back another day - it is an easy distance from Bristol, with some lovely walks in the surrounding countryside

We have just visited the kings arms, for a short break. Would definitely recommend it to others. Very cosy, gorgeous food & incredibly welcoming, attentive staff. Oh & what a lovely historic & interesting area to visit.

Have eaten here for lunch several times when on walks nearby. The sandwiches are lovely - can recommend the prawn with rose marie sauce and the beef and horseradish. All the sandiwches come on wonderfully toasted ciabatta and a side of french fries. Also they have a great selection of beers and cider - my personal favourite is Orchard Pig Reveller 😍. Cant wait to go back to try their other menu items.

Great place to stay, top quality customer care, accommodation and food. Highly recommend a stay in the very dog friendly Kings Arms

Outstanding food and friendly service. We've called in several times for food on the way to/from Westonbirt Arboretum and have had a consistently high standard of food and service. The staff are friendly and attentive and love to engage with our young son. I can't wait for my next visit!
