Checked in with 2 bikes. Given room on 1st floor accessible via lift... so best floor for bikes... stored in room. Staff very helpful. Then explored Salisbury. Got back and went to bed. Room cold & heating didn't seem to work. Plus a huge Johnson Controls device outside our bathroom window was growling noisily all night. So if using 1st floor avoid rooms in this part of the building Room 113. Our friends in Room 101 didn’t have any noise issues.
Just had a delicious and very hot, fresh meal here with my mum. Bit of a mix up with the order so ended up having a long wait. But Chris, the manager handled it superbly. Polite, personable and great customer service. He very kindly gave us a complementary dessert. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you, Chris!
Headed here for a drink for my birthday. Lots of space and a nice outside area. Currently making upgrades so there is scaffolding. They have made it easy to know where to enter. Nice, inviting atmosphere.
Was out with a group of friends and only went in for lunch. Downstairs was packed but upstairs was nearly empty, which we thought was strange but thought no more of it. We had to hunt for menus, found them eventually, and ordered food through the app. We then had an extremely stroppy young girl come and tell everyone upstairs, who was ordering food, that they weren't serving food upstairs and pointing out a stupidly small sign above head height on the stair rails. Clearly everyone missed the sign suggesting an inadequacy otvtheir part, but to be treated like stupid, naughty children was not helpful or appreciated! Not sure I'd go back to be treated like that again!
It's a 'Spoons. You walk past the slot machines that look like they'd be better located in a Las Vegas casino, find the nearest wobbly table, order on the app so you don't have to socially interact with anyone, and someone in the kitchen sticks your meal in the microwave while the bartender brings you a pitcher with mostly ice, mixer and something vaguely resembling alcohol.nnWetherspoons of any variety is cheap, fast and reliable. You certainly don't attend for the ambiance depression in brick and mortar form or the quality of food industrial microwave meals. Although tbf, their mixed grill is banging possibly because it's one of the few things *not* microwaved.
