Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The afternoon tea was as pictured very nice. Bedroom was clean and spacious, tho wasn't happy someone had been our room to put condiments in on the 1st morning we were there. Bathroom was lovely and a decent shower. Breakfast not as pictured but saying that it was very nice and nicely arranged with lots of options.
First class experience. Norman is the best hotel manager I have ever met. He leads a top class hotel with wonderful service all around. Always look forward to breakfast with Victoria being as helpful and friendly and welcoming.
From the moment we arrived, our experience at this hotel was nothing short of great. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, making us feel welcome and valued right away. Check-in was smooth and efficient.nThe room itself was clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens fresh and soft.nOne of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast – absolutely delicious! and of course the coffee was excellent.nWe can’t wait to return and will absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the area, especially the top-service of all stuff.nThank you to the entire team for making our 1 night trip unforgettable!
Milford Hall is a 20 minute walk from the train station, but only a few minutes from a bus stop bearing its name. Its a 10 minute walk to the shopping area, and about 20 to the cathedral and fabulous museum.nnMy luggage was stored for me after I turned up earlier than expected, and the reception area appeared very clean and well maintained.nnWhen I checked in later that afternoon I did have to step over a contractor in the hallway - there is renovation work being done - but it was a short walk and a small staircase up to my room, which was nicely decorated and clean.nnI had a good nights sleep - after the hotel guests who sound like a herd of elephants shouting at a football match in the corridor, I swear they follow me around - also shut up and went to sleep!nnBreakfast was small but perfectly formed, with a lovely welcome and very nice, good quality food. I judge a buffet breakfast by its scrambled egg, which is often watery or rubbery, but it was perfect!nnThere was a bit of harsh construction noise outside just before I checked out - a jack hammer breaking up concrete outside of my window - it was unpleasant but not early enough in the morning to disturb my sleep.nnAll in all, especially given the reasonable cost, I would stay here again, once the renovation works are done there wouldnt be much else negative to say. Nothing hotels can do about thoughtless guests! In fact I have already recommended it to a friend.
I genuinely loved this hotel. The bed was comfier than a cloud, and the pillows were so heavenly I contemplated smuggling one.nThe ladies at breakfast were attentive, and the food options were plentiful. My only gripe is they charged me £7 for parking.
