We had a lovely afternoon tea here.nnFood was very nice as was the latte we had with it!nnThe restaurant and bar area were very modern and looked very clean and tiday!nOur server Victoria was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed - thank you!nnWe paid for parking when we arrived as per the signs in the car park as we were not actually staying in the hotel - we needn’t have bothered because we were informed it was free for anyone visiting the hotel. But it was only £4 so we weren’t too bothered that we had paid for it.nnGood location and lovely setting.
I had a good stay here. Staff very friendly on reception and at breakfast. The room was clean and the bathroom was modern. It was great to have some decent quality pillows. I read the reviews about how the walls are like paper and you can hear everything. I was lucky and had quiet neighbours but I suspect from what I did hear it may be a problem if other guests aren’t as mindful about noise levels.
Stayed here for new years and had the most wonderful time! The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We are already looking at going back! The hotel had such a nice vibe and I had the best nights sleep. Location was great as only a few minutes walk from local pubs and shops. Overall, a wonderful experience
This is an excellent hotel, the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful; the room was exceptionally clean and maintained to a high standard. The breakfast area was well organised and there was a good selection on offer; the cooked breakfasts looked delicious and, according to other family members, the breakfast did not disappoint. We shall return!
Birthday afternoon tea treat for my wife…..nWell, what can I say.nWe had booked, but we got the feeling that we were not expected. They said they were busy and offered us seating in the restaurant or in tea room but that was very busy and expecting another 30 people soon.nNo atmosphere and table remained set for a dinner setting.nThe server and manager was unaware what menus were on their website and surprised that “Classic Cream Tea” was on there and the prices were different to was was shown.nFood was to a poor standard, egg and lettuce finger sandwiches were watery and odd, ham and cheese finger sandwiches were a surprise of processed ham and processed burger cheese slices and bread was stale. The scones were stale and broke into pieces when cutting in half.nDefinitely not worth short of £100 for the four of us.nTesco’s meal deal would have been nicer and £85 cheaper.nWe were married here and organised a couple of functions since our wedding and was shocked on how down hill it has gone.nNever shall return 1/10.
