We stayed at the Mercure Hotel in the centre of Salisbury in August 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there for our weekend away.nWe booked a classic double room and were very happy with it since it was spacious, modern and clean and had a coffee/tea machine. We also liked the Elemental Herbology essential oil body wash and shampoo in the bathroom and fluffy towels that were changed each day. We must have had a recently renovated room as it all looked freshly done.nMore importantly it was so quiet and as we like to have a window open at night we slept so well since it was so quiet throughout the night and day.nWe also valued having a car park there where we left our car for the whole weekend since we were sightseeing Salisbury on foot.nWe enjoyed the courtyard sitting on chairs/tables surrounded by wonderful summer flowers in old chimney pots and stone ones, it was impressive to see the effort put into the floral displays.nThe location of this hotel couldn’t be better, so close to the Cathedral, bars, restaurants and shops.nBreakfast was great too and besides the cereals, pastries, yogurt and fresh fruit provided we also enjoyed the freshly made omelettes and poached eggs by the chef.nThis was our first stay here and it won’t be our last. The chairs and sofas around the reception area were also pleasant to sit in at any time of the day.nShout out to Russell for helping me with my booking over the phone, also to the lovely Sharon on reception who was so friendly and her sweet dog too! and we hope to be back in the near future.
The one thing you will remember the most from your stay here is the great customer service - from check-in, to breakfast and anywhere throughout my stay I could only run into smiley and very friendly individuals who showed me something more and more uncommon in most hotels nowadays: great hospitality.nI suspect the hotel had their rooms refurbished recently as, 3 times of 3 that I stayed here, I always found myself enjoying very stylishly decorated rooms with top quality amenities, super comfortable bedding and very modern looking bathrooms. Have a look around the hotel, all the little details will tell you all about the high standards of cleanliness and elegance of this hotel flower arrangements, carpet cleanliness, breakfast setting, etc.nThe little inner courtyard will simply add the cherry on top of the cake of your experience - having lunch or simply a coffee in that setting gave me that ultimate Salisbury touch to my stay.nLastly but just as importantly - I believe this hotel to have the best location out of all the 4/5 star offering in the area, sitting right next to the Cathedral and whilst being right in the city centre.
We stayed here as part of a choir residency at Salisbury Cathedral, and we couldn't be happier with the stay. The reception team was very helpful when our refrigerator was not working in changing our rooms, and one of the hotel managers, Alex, was very gracious when we had a birthday in the group with getting the cake setup as well as distributing the leftovers to us as we were departing the next morning. The customer service here is top notch, and I would recommend anybody staying here if travelling to Salisbury.
We came to Salisbury for short birthday break. The hotel has been excellent from the moment we arrived and dog friendly. The initial evening receptionist really welcoming. Evening meal of tuna steak excellent. Our room was big. Really clean, comfortable. Morning, Sharon and Trevor on reception couldn't have been more friendly. Joe? catering side excellent too. Both gave us good advice on where to visit with the dog. I've had a brilliant birthday thanks in no small part to hotel and staff. Thank you. Will definitely be back.
We would like to thank all of the team at The White Hart for a wonderful event recently. We hold an annual BBQ for our members and this year chose The White Hart as the venue and they certainly didn’t disappoint! From the welcoming staff and arrival drink, to the charming courtyard where we mingled through to the delicious food, the whole evening was a success. They even managed to make the rain stay away until the following morning! Thank you again to everyone for your involvement; we will certainly be back again
