Staying on a Saturday night. A warm greeting from the two lovely ladies on reception. A beautiful old building right in the centre of Salisbury. I especially liked the original rotating doors. Room was spotless, comfy beds with crisp linen and a great bathroom with rather luxurious body and hair products. Again a lovely greeting in the morning when attending breakfast. The buffet had a vast choice of full cooked, cereals, pastries, yoghurt etc and a hot drinks machine that served the most delicious hot chocolate I had to have 2! . I honestly can't fault my lovely stay and I look forward to using again in the future.
I am currently staying at this hotel and can report that my stay has been quite satisfactory. My partner and I were booked into this hotel due to our agency nurse deployment.nnThe hotel is conveniently located in the town center, providing easy access to various amenities. It is also within walking distance of the train station.nnThe two female staff members at the lobby were courteous and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The hotel itself is well-maintained considering its age, although some of the floorboards are uneven and the room we occupied on our second day had a somewhat gloomy atmosphere, albeit in a charming way. The first room we stayed in, however, appeared more modern as it was located in a newer extension of the building.nnThe breakfast buffet offered a satisfactory selection of items, and overall, our experience at the hotel was positive. We would consider staying here again in the future.
Checked in and made to feel very welcome. Great night sleep and lovely location. Shame you have to pay extra for parking but appreciate its a great location. Lovely staff too and lovely decor and although a bit dated fits in with town.
Once again my husband and I enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing break at the White Hart Salisbury! We always feel a sense of relief and stress free waves wafting over us as I drive into the hotel car park and our recent Christmas stay was no exception! Really, the customer service offered by all staff here is of the highest standard and it cannot be faulted for professionalism, warmth and the pleasure all staff get from giving the best service possible - excellent! Our room was light, spacious and so comfortable and it was delightful to see seasonal snow flakes being projected onto the building opposite - a lovely touch! Food was delicious and although the staff were so very busy on Christmas Day there was not a hint of fatigue or weariness as they served with smiles and consideration. It was interesting to see on Boxing Day that one young man was being given the run around somewhat by an over-zealous guest intent on asking detail after detail about the contents of her dish and others on the menu - but he responded only with courtesy and concern and was faultless in his attention. I do understand about allergies but this guest I have to say was being more than a tad selfish but perhaps the Christmas message doesn't reach everyone after all! The food - at all times was excellent and always is! Once again we were sad to leave - it is becoming quite a home from home. A big thank you to all White Hart Staff. This is one of our favourite hotels and we often say that some of the bigger and grander hotels we visit could learn a few lessons from the team here in Salisbury. Thank you and the happiest of New Years to all!
Good location for Salisbury. The room did not live up to the price, there were stains on the wall, and the pillow 1 each on the bed was flatter than a pancake. I would’ve slept better with a bag of rocks than the pillow they supplied. I’ve had more comfortable pillows with Brittany Ferries. For a chain hotel they could supply better resources. Also a single mattress topper on a double bed…! The shower was nice, water pressure wasn’t the best but it’s a hotel so it’s expected. Also the bins didn’t have bin liners … Overall - okay but the room wasn’t worth £93 for one night.
